Second that ! When the PI Camry first appeared, I thought that it was really handsome looking but when the Tomyam version was brought in, the PI's version dropped to second place. I never actually like the PI's front grille and the rear boot design but the Tomyam's design simply ease away my objections. Would have loved to buy one but the FC is a concern. Everything else about the Camry is nice, nice and nice !

That would be the last car I would put my hands on. IMHO, I feel shy driving the Altis in Singapore. It is so common, I would have a problem finding the car in the carpark. It is like driving a Proton Saga or Wira in KL.

Does the new camry still have that crazy "kink" in the exhaust pipe that hit almost any hump on singapore if one is not careful?

 

Brakes can upgrade lah ... the Lexus GS300 ones look impressive.

The GS looks impressive, not just the brakes.. Was actually contemplating that but got the 5 series instead.. my mum poser.. bought for the brand.. but been happy with it.

yea, actually the "kink" is not that low at all. It's just that the previous camry had a very high butt. Thus, the "kink" was clearly visible but it's definitely not low enough to hit humps.

5 series, you got money mah. For people who enjoy driving spirtually, camry is usually not a consideration.

Frankly, i don't really enjoy driving either.. Of course the bmw is a better ride but a bit too big for me.. i prefer something smaller. haha

too bad your mum bought the beemer. the GS 300 is a better drive than the 523i.... unless u gettting the 525i or 530i. not to mention cheaper too. but image is better with the beemer i guess.

523 is not exactly that slow.. but ur right.. not fast enough compared wth 525.. same engine but detuned.. some actually would buy the 525 cos of active steering. heard it makes lot of diff in handling. diff in price quite a lot though.. think it's 20 k.

 

but i don't think my mum needs any of this.. she rarely goes above 100. serious..

 

As of the cooper s, no regrets.. maybe only regret would be that it's omv is really very low compared to other cars priced along side it.. seriously feel cheated in that sense. really do wonder why a clear indication cannot be given before buyin a car.

Tats why there are many rice car around, it serve as a way to personalize the car, can be spotted ezily by the owner.

What will the difference in FC and other differences with the 2.0 & 2.4 Camry. I wonder whether getting the PI version would be worthwhile buy. BTW any price difference.
