Just another thought that I am thinking about.

Most car is adequately powered w/o the air con switched on. However, once the air con is switched on, the power drop big time !

Am just curious, why didn't the car manufacturer EVER thought of balancing the torque/power to that with the air con switched on during the design ?

I know certain countries dun use aircon when weather is cool, but they still have summer rite ?

Just curious [gossip]

that's true....but the problem with climatic countries, they wind down their windows when it's summer cause the wind and breeze is still cooling. furthermore...they sell the cars with air-con as an option, so if want, pay more if not.......like that the price....

yeah....actually, sometimes i drive without the air-con if I'm alone. get the feel of the real power.......but the lugs doesn't feel much after the engine has been running for quite a while....when the engine is warmed up totally.

Some cars have A/C compressor auto shut off if the rpm climbs above a pre-set to allow more power for the car for a short time (e.g. overtaking).

yeah shiok but our air on the roads not that clean. the dust will get into the car and make the car very dirty [thumbsdown] if not the other means is to get powerpass

Unless I'm trap on traffic jams, if not it's still alright for me [:p] The worst part was when there's a 2-stroke bike stopping in front of you while waiting for green light. [:/]

Yes, night time travelling at expressway was shiok thumbsup.gif with front window down

Hi, although all power is channeled to the engine, the open window has increase the drag...I think the best deal is still to install wind deflector and open the window slightly to allow air circulation
