Bro, care to explain on that?

Why can't AutoRx and LC20 be mixed??

The cannot be mixed part is during rinse phase of ARX. The rinse phase calls for mineral oil to be use. This is for the liquidfied sludge, etc to fall off the metal walls. LC20 is a product with near ester properties. It'll impede the process you want for the rinse phase.

Hope this helps

Got the LC20 as well but haven't tried it out yet... my current oil is already dosed with Moly... don't wanna put too many different stuff together.

LC20 and Schaeffers 132 is a tried and tested brew on BITOG with good results from various guys. Quiet the engine down much better. Even has a name for it Molabrew :)

Ok.... some initial feedback now that I've stopped the FP60 and put in half tank of fuel.

The power is back. whooo hooo.... [bounce1]

But car is slightly less smooth/quiet and the starting symptoms seems to be coming back. [mad]

just checking, what brand petrol did you put in?

according to some of the FP60 users, most work well and give good engine response except caltex

Err... its local ESSO 98 ~ 20%.... and 80% is JB Petronas. [rolleyes]

I guess its nothing unusual.... since I also get the loss in power whenever I use any injector/fuel system cleaner. e.g. STP or even OWS.

Say, the LC20 thinggy..... can use in differentials or not? It does not say so in the product writeup. Only mentions engine oils, auto-box and power steering.

With transfer cases and front/rear differentials, try 1 Oz/Quart . However for LSD, LC reduces friction and too much may affect the lockup. However half Oz/Quart is still safe.

LC20 is able to dissipate water and at the same time, an excellent anti rust and corrosion cleaner additive.

Many BITOGers have report excellent results with LC20 and Schaeffers 7000 oil :)

Oops, this is a FP60 Feedback thread........

LC works well with my castrol too! great feeling from the engine. FP also smoothens the engine for shell 98 cos shell tends to be jerky compared to caltex although it has more power.

Well I must admit FP60 does help after using it for 2 months and switching between various petrol and back to Ten35. Seems to me FP20 works best with Shell 95. In fact some may even think it is comparable with V-Power using the cheapest grade from Shell. With Mobil and Caltex, the benefit isn't that obvious. Who know maybe Shell is putting some similar kind of this to its latest formula.

Having said that, my feel of FP60 with Shell 95 is not too far from Ten35 with Esso Mobil 92. Both can easily save 1 km per litre while improving driveability but the latter is significantly more affordable.

If feedback from users of various additives is not totally wrong, there is an inclination to suspect the lower grade petrol could have been better if not of the potential deliberate price-product differentiation effort to retain the better performance in the higher grade charged at greater premium. Perhaps, to make up for this unfair practice can actually be realisable with increasing openness, awareness and globalistion, perhaps.
