New MSCP at MacRitchie Reservoir

The news on Ch 8 just reported that MacRitchie Reservoir Car Park A will be closed for renovation to build a 2-storey MSCP that can house 300 cars.

 

Upon completion, Car Park B and C will be converted for other usage.

 

 

Good news or Bad news?

 

 

IMO, why only 2-storey? I doubt 300 car park lots are enough during weekends.

more cars on the road therefore more parking space will be needed. i heard it will cost at least $1 million just to built a 2 storey CP. i wonder will it be free after completion?

I always have parking headache whenever I go there, esp during weekends.

 

I guess during the renovation, I shd avoid going there more.

Hopefully this is not an excuse to charge ERP style parking. Keep healthy also need to pay? Xiong leh.

I dunno where they get the feedback, 300 car for weekends definetely is not enough. I also suspect we need to pay to park at this new MSCP booldsuckers!!!!

they didn't include the new MSCP in the budget

the CP at botanic garden is no longer free so expecting macritchie to charge parking as well. in one way it helps to solve the parking problems.

This information of tranforming the existing the open Car Park A to a 2-storey MSCP that can house 300 cars, has been planned by our relevant authority in-charge since 4 to 5 years back.
