redline 7000-8000rpm 15 second at idle. engine didnt die, but almost pissed the whole neighbourhood up. so stop before they call up the police to bug me.

 

heat generated cause the cooling fan to spin at high speed for at least 10 minutes after engine is shutdown. unlikely will do it again.

 

with driving load, 7000rpm many times, engine no problem, just have to change engine oil every 5000km.

its not advisable to high rev your car at idling.sweatdrop.gif

There is a car that redlines at 9000 rpm but I can't remember it.

 

i think F360 redlines at 9000rpm.

the S2000 also redlines at 9000rpm.

age does make a difference, i think the elder we are the less aggressive we drive, the ego shrinks as we get elder [nod]

Factory redline of engine is 7400rpm. After tuning, engine still stock, redline increased to 8300rpm. I hit redline a few times everyday. I try to do a uninterupted WOT pull from at least 2nd gear to 4th or 5th gear redline everyday. This keeps the engine in tip top condition without need for italian tuneup.
