Mikeyeo Clutched February 23, 2007 Share February 23, 2007 (edited) Hi Gylgyl, I used Goodyear Eagle LS2000 as what PORCHE has mentioned. I made a research on the various types of tyres before deciding on this. The road holding grip on wet and dry surfaces are good and quite. I generally do not take recommendations from tyre shops because what he deemed acceptable and quiet may not be what my criteria are As for tyres, it's very important to know and understand their design characteristic such as the pattern of the grooves for water drainages, noise when driving on highways, the composition of the materials used for the tyre, hardness, etc. That is why I normally do not go for very high performance tyres as they are generally noisier. When I am alone in the car, I usually drive without music as I prefer to be quiet and hearing the sound of the engine whenever I accelerate and overtaking. If you want high performance tyres for your car and with that , generally speaking, you will face the noise problem. Again, the word 'acceptable sound' is very subjective.
