And when you thought you had your 101 excuses, they come up with #102! [shakehead]

If I'm not mistaken, it says that SG & Brunei cars are exempted from their rules in applying the ICP.

For the rest of the rules, SG's cars still need to comply with their regulations which is:

A. Syarat Kemasukan Kenderaan Persendirian

1.Kenderaan hendaklah berdaftar di negara asal

2.Mempamerkan nombor pendaftaran didalam huruf Roman. (nombor pendaftaran merah dari Thailand tidak dibenarkan masuk)

3.Mempunya perakuan pendaftaran kenderaan dengan terjemahan Bahasa Malaysia atau Inggeris.

4.Mempunya perlindungan insurans Pihak Ketiga.(Insurans Malaysia)

8.Penunggang motosikal diwajibkan memakai topi keledar.

9.Pemandu kereta atau van diwajibkan memakai talipinggang keledar.

I m no Bahasa Expert. The above rule does not apply to vehicle from Singapore & Brunei. Vehicles from Singapore & Brunei has to follow Malaysia rule when ur ka is in Malaysia. Could some1 get clarification from LTA?

The above rule only applies to vehicle from other countries which has to adhere to both ICP & the above rules.

Interesting topic...Anyway, it is good time to do something by all Singaporean...if cannot boycott...at least go in less and don't anyhow spend money in JB...In actual fact, JB businesses really depend on Singaporean money...let see the RM20 fee got do any good to them or not...

Spend your money elseway lah...go Hong Kong, Taiwan lah...Since Thailand don't like Singapore...Indonesia don't like Singapore...maybe it is time to go Vietnam... [laugh][laugh]

Exactly, don't expect the Malaysian authorities to practice what we pratice here. Worse is we don't practice what's here when we are in Singapore.

But if the tinted glass is original then it should not be a problem but nevertheless its best to check before going in.

I find it a little amusing, after so many years don't tell me they don't know even their own cars are heavily tinted, suddenly now want to enforce. Does it have anything to do with the booming economy?

In fact, this creates jobs -> de-tinting + retinting. Creates new products -> new window films that mean the new standard. These create a job market as well as encourage entreprenuership and creativity. Wow! I wanna go remove my foreskin now and be a Msia minister. [thumbsup]

I still dont get it. So are SG cars exmepted or not? Whats ICP?

These rules are so freaking confusing.

The rule is SG ka MUST FOLLOW MY rules when u r in MY.

In MY, there is whole bunch of used jap ka imported wif dark tint. Tis ka never get summon as clear glass is not available. If ur ka is imported wif original dark tint, tell them straight. "Encik, kaca gelap original".

no use one. even they increase to RM50 singaporean still will go in one. Becos in SG they have on others place to go liao [laugh]

Just like our garment increase ERP do you think will ease the traffic? when you need to travel this road you will still have to travel one. Becos detour to other road also jam wat and waste times so LL still have to go through ERP. [dizzy]

That is true. I got a fren in MY who drove Toyota Caldina GT. His glass is originally tinted rite from rear passenger door to rear door. Nvr got any summon even during JPJ (MY LTA) road block. There is no clear glass for that ka. 4 MY ka, they also nvr produce any documentation. Juz argue wif them. It depends on how u argued wif them.

All MCFers,

I start this thread anew bcos I want to hv a focused discussion. Think many of us had enuf of Sh$t from these arse-hols. Tinted windows, unstamped passports, etc etc.

Now what can we do. How about installing some camera device in our cars or such to video some of their actions with audio conversation. And then post them worldwide.

Have not been there since Dr M was prime minister and started Singapore Bashing about the water issue....We are a small country whom seems to be bashed by our Asean members, lately it is the Thais and Indonesians turn to wack us.....Just have to get used to it.....as for Malaysia....give it a miss if you can, spent your hard earn money here to help our fellow Singaporeans business....
