Dumber Neutral Newbie July 31, 2007 Author Share July 31, 2007 (edited) anyone seen or been to such deity possession ritual before? since 7th month is coming..shall discuss more on this from other website The 7th month of the lunar calendar is called "Month of the Ghost" by Chinese People. Chinese would not call them the ghosts, instead, they call them "Good Brothers". Chinese believe that the gate of the Hades opens on the 1st day of the 7th month and closes on the last day of the month. During the month the "Good Brothers" will be released from the Hades to enjoy the feast served by the living people. Generally, people serve all kinds of offerings in front of their homes and burn "money" for use of the "Good Brothers". Not only do the households worship the Good Brothers, but the businesses also do the same thing. Empolyers prepare the offerings in front of the main gates and would ask their employees to worship the Good Brothers together. People believe the Good Brothers would bless them and make the businesses prosperous throught out the year. This yellow paper is printed with clothes, trousers, fans, boots and comb, etc. This paper will be burned after the worship. People believe that the ghosts will receive those items printed on the paper after it is burned. An incense stick is inserted into each of the food when worshiping the ghosts. Legends say the ghosts can only eat those items with buring incense stick. [/color] The are 2 sorts of money. One is for the ghosts, the other for the officers from the Hades who lead the ghosts to the world to enjoy the feast in the Ghost Month. Adawang 1st Gear July 31, 2007 Share July 31, 2007 can anyone remember this old system, display this ALS ticket on the top left hand corner of your car windscreen. This ALS (Area Licence Scheme) was implemented in June 1975. At that time, words like RZ (Restricted Zone and CBD (Central Business Districts) were very popular. Of course with this ALS, you can enter the RZ during the peak hour without 4 persons in the car. The price for entering is $3 for daily access and $60 for a month
