Focusdude Neutral Newbie March 26, 2008 Share March 26, 2008 I will give it a shot. :) But first, I need to ask you a few questions: a. do you pant in the dreams? b. have you been to the locations before or are they totally new ones? c. when you wake up from these dreams, what is the first thing on your mind (fear, excitement, etc)? d. do you notice what you are wearing in the dreams? Focusdude Neutral Newbie March 26, 2008 Share March 26, 2008 Without keeping an open mind, it is difficult for the individual to grow spiritually because complacency can set in very easily for the close-minded. The other extreme however can also be dangerous. I do know of individuals who are open-minded for the sake of being open-minded. It is more important for the individual to temper his thoughts and action with moderation i.e. walk the middle path. Bro, I'm christian but I try my best to keep my mind open to teachings from other religions especially buddhism as I believe all religions converge to the same - salvation/redemption/enlightenment through love and compassion for fellow human beings. hits you on the back (friendly)! that's the way man! i've got christian friends who refuse to see a parody video on (then saddam?) and they refuse, stating the devil can get to them. dont want to know/see anything that doesn't relate to christian God. Talk to them very pekchek.

Focusdude Neutral Newbie March 26, 2008 Share March 26, 2008 Every thought and action produces karmic debt unless it is done in a state of Moksha. This means that without attaining enlightenment, the individual has always some form of karmic debt because his thoughts and actions go on to generate karma. Even one who has attained enlightenment has to still go through samsara (cycle of suffering) until he has fully discharged his karmic debt (though from the point of enlightenment onwards he no longer generates karma because he is in perpetual state of Moksha). The driver in the real-life example that you have cited bears his own karmic debt for having knocked the lady down. The collective karma of both the driver and the victim resulted in the incident taking place. The incident itself then generates more karma for the persons involved. It is like a chain of dominos that keep on knocking more tiles down. Good and bad are but labels that we assign to things that we are aware of - events, people, even karma. To put it bluntly, fault cannot be precisely attributed to any single being in existence. While it is tempting to point fingers at the driver for having caused the accident (looking at it superficially), our limited awareness prevents us from seeing the cause and effect chain that led to the accident and therefore we are not in a position to attribute fault. I'm always puzzled by such repayment of karmic debt. Sure, now hers is settled, what about the driver that 'killed' her? What did he incur? Or was he getting his 'returns' for being killed wrongly in his previous life? and on hindsight 'horse cart' kill woman? personally i think it's not easy, horses do recognize people/objects right? unless the horse running fast and you dash out. and that would be your fault already right? Focusdude Neutral Newbie March 27, 2008 Share March 27, 2008 Thanks. Here are the reasons why I asked you those questions: a. if you pant in these dreams, it means that you feel labored. Since you didn't I would more or less deduce that you do not feel burdened by the fast running/teleportation in the dreams b. familiar locations in dreams usually mean that your subconscious mind is revisiting them for analysis purpose. Since you usually end up in locations that are new, I would rule out analytic as one of the possible reasons for the dreams c. the emotions that one feels upon waking up from a dream can help to reveal more about the meaning of the dreams to the individual. For example, there were times when I woke up crying and feeling very sad because of certain tragic scenes in my dreams. For me, those dreams represented the subconscious fear that I had at that point in time e.g. losing someone dear to me. As you do not really feel anything at the point of waking up, I would deduce that the content of the dreams do not really bear much direct importance to you but they do reflect what your subconscious desires (rather than fears). d. the clothes that we wear in our dreams are a form of protection. It also translates to whether we feel vulnerable in the dreams. Since you do not notice whether you were wearing clothes or not, I would deduce that you were not feeling vulnerable in those dreams (i.e. don't bother about protection). Based on the above, I would hazard the following inferences: a. you are quite a happy-go-lucky person who does not really cling too tightly to minor things that have happened or are going to happen; you are likely to treat most things as minor. b. you like to experience new things and see new places. Instead of feeling afraid when you go to a new place, you are likely to enjoy the experience in general. c. you are quite assured in many of the things that you do - this likely translates into confidence in your decisions on a whole. Even though you tend to think that your decisions are not the best at times (or most of the time ), you stick to them because they are _your_ decisions. d. these dreams reflect your subconscious desire to experience new places, new people at a rate that you are not able to in your actual life; your subconscious yearns for more to happen in your life. Just my two cents worth. Standard disclaimers of liability apply. ↡ Advertisement
