Why are threads "disappearing"?

As above, I notice that posts are "disappearing" rather frequently. I remember I was following up on a thread on Pxx Hxxg just yesterday but now that I want to follow up on this thread, I can't find it anymore. [dizzy]

There are definitely a few threads that I was following up recently but seems to have suddenly "disappeared". At first I thought that I could have been dreaming & that I read the threads at some other forums but this is happening too frequently enough to confirm my suspicions. Anyone facing this problem at MCF? Or is it only me? Can anyone advise? [:)]

here is the thread on p@h h@ng.. apparently so many bad reviews / experience by forumers that the shop owner had to call gadgeter, who then locked the thread...

but the response was really overwhelming.. so many MCF forumers visited p@h h@ng before...

14 pages spanning in 1 day's time.. 10pm till next day 9pm...

the most talked about thread this year.. [laugh]

its locked, but u can still read the comments..

Yes..yes....now I remember reading that thread....so it was in MCF... Pardon me for being a mountain tortoise. Why was the Jenny thread locked? Then again in other forums, even if a thread is locked up, ppl can still read but no more new posts are allowed. It seems that these threads have "disappeared" and not locked right? Also, why was the thread on Pxx Hxxg locked up too?

Seriously wads wrong wif the forums?

We have the rite to post comments abt a shop cuz we were just posting our experiences. Nth wrong with that IMHO.

If the shop owners calls in to ask the mod to lock e thread, i c no point having a forum.

He scared he lose biz is it? [whip]

is it appropriate to lock the thread

just because Justin know who to call?

[dizzy]

personally i reckon this been a public forum,

members like ourselves should have the rights

to voice our unhappiness rite?

i'm not saying it's wrong that the thread is

locked, but where does it leave us?

does it imply we cannot post unpleasant incidents

experienced on this forum to warn other bros about

it?

and suppose Justin do not know who to call, it will

be free for all to bash him for who knows how long

more. thus, is it fair for those who are

ignorant of the -ve posting on the internet and do

not know who to contact [:|]

for all coins have two sides to it. i believe it is

best for all to be able to input/ share their side of

the story rather than just simply have to sidestep or

'locked'

Justin shld, either personally or thru someone else,

come in and tell us wat exactly happen, and have us

understand his situations.

if u ask me, from this incident there's no forum power

to a certain extent

cheers

it's getting nowhere to further discuss in PH thread..the thread isn't deleted anyway, everyone can just read and judge for themselves if they still want to patronize this shop.

Quite alot topics from last time.wa i saying is when on certain topics, pple like critise say these say tat, when others said back regarding them, they take it as flaming required to b closed.kinda question mark when its closed

It's interesting that a certain individual who has been portrayed as always failing to return phone calls, has now actually called to ask the thread be locked. Too many customers, cannot call. But too many complaints, sure have time to call.

and it is a BIG BIG qns mark that the threadstarter is 'clutched' and so is some others.

Jus like the irony why justin can call to lock the thread (if he did) but not ans calls.

It sure seems that suddenly there is a influx of 'clutched' forumers posting funny things [lipsrsealed]
