I recently changed to Denso iridium spark plugs and I noticed that sometimes when I start my engine. It fires up stop for less than a second before it fully starts my engine. Is it a case of Ignition misfire? How do you actually know? Any advice?

When you drive, the engine will sputter and jerk.

Check for faulty ignition coils or cables...if before this did not happen, check for the plugs if they are ok. Best is to plug in a OBD reader...it will be able to tell you which cylinder is misfiring.

Misfire is easy to detect under load. Accelerate hard & see if your car jerks or not?

U might also get a bang sound from your exhaust.

Cud b plugs, ignition wires, distributor or loose electrical connections.

If Ignition coil problem, you'll feel engine vibrations. What do you mention by "stuck there for awhile"?

I mean when i move off, it will.smoothly goes to 2k rpm, den stuck for 1 or 2 sec b4 it goes up again...

were you trying to describe what you saw on the tachometer?

an OBD scanner could help probe deeper into this issue.
