I heard before Charcoals can get rid of durian smells, also heard of panda leaves.

How about ANTS ? Is there a method to get rid of the ANTS without using those oil spray or toxic that will kill me in the car ?

The last time my car was infested with ants, I did this; Bought a can of Shelltox, sprayed into interior of car and all crevices including inside of the doors, boot, fenders; sprayed some more into interior of car and kept doors and windows shut for at least an hour. After that no more ants for a very long time.

I wonder if ur car is a black car, purposely park under the sun. Let the car "bake" until very hot inside, will that kill or force the ants out??

[thumbsup] Yup, bro. I always make a point to sun my vehicle under hot sun weekly at open space car park or right at the top of MSCP for 4 hours. I did it either on Sat or Sun. For this, I will not only get rid of the ants but also small roaches.

After that, one can see the roaches lying dead on the floor board. As for ants, too small to see them on the floor board. Some did adviced to use pandan leave but my wife hate that smell of pandan.

Hello Picnic06, I tried this method before liao. Cannot work. The next morning can see ants still on top of my bloody car, and behind boot... but luckily not many in the interior [sweatdrop]

But roach still present, occasionally..... maybe they hid under the carriage so avoid baking, possible?

Think will try Dipstick method this weekend.......

Guaranteed to work..... if you don't like the smell of insecticide, you can get the odourless shelltox. Make sure you spray if everywhere inside the interior, boot, door crevices, fender crevices and even the engine compartment.

I ever parked beside a bush for few nights and later found my car infested with large black ants! Really huge in numbers...really terrible.

I quickly wash them off but they infested all over and hide inside those tiny holes beside the door, as well as the door of the boot. After a few wash and wipping, they still existed. Fortunately very few get into the car cabin.

I bought that odourless insecticide and spray the whole car thoroughtly (including those tiny holes). I spent the next few days spraying and killing those ants. It tooks me about 3 days to get them completely cleared.

It was a terrible experience.

you can connect your exhaust with a hose into your car compartment. Leave the engine running for an hour. All the ants sure die, even humans also die.

Pls la...I went to Genting Awana with my family and parked beside those shrubs that is near the multi-storey car park. 3 days later I saw those dark patches on my car while walking towards it. From afar, I thought they were some large stains. Walk close and to my horror found them to be ants! But thankfully they were not red colour type. Else, may be my car wiring and others would be eaten off.

Start vaccuming your car.

Had a run-in with the bloody crockroaches for 2 wks.

Vaccumed the whole (interior and boot) car twice and apply protectant for the car interior.

Seemed to have solved the problem.

Need advise bros.

My car got infested with those black ants.

Fortunately it's only the exterior.

I've tried spraying baygons into those small gaps where they usually access. But after 2wks they comes back again.

Just applied the golden rooster brand hopefully can clear the whole colony. Besides the mentioned application, anymore methods?

Your input is much appreciated!

* tried parking under the sun & baygons, but unsuccessful.

Are you sure red ants eat car wiring? What do black ants eat?

Ever encountered newly born bay spiders crawling allover inside someone's car, after he parked his car overnight at a dark corner parking lot.
