Blacksilver Neutral Newbie January 30, 2007 Share January 30, 2007 Strange... Will be getting new Car tomorrow(Civic). Am of course excited and happy but somehow feeling a bit nostalgic about my f3.5yrs Corolla which I am trading in. My first car and had been serving me faithfully without complains since day one. Anyone changing car got such feeling? I've just confirmed the sale of my ride It has been a struggle to sell it cos I just couldn't bear to let it go. Tho its an old car, It has been my dream car for the longest time. When I advertised, I could almost close the deal within 3 days but I could not. Cos I was looking for a new owner who will look after my ride. It took me 2 weeks to finally agree letting it to the buyer. The car has served me so well, economical to run, easy to maintain and the looks that makes me smile. It took many friends and family in my backseats, sometimes 4-5 squeezing tight. It carries so much in my boot, even an A0 size poster. I also had my 5.1 home theater system - with big tallboy speakers loaded in the car, boot and backseats. It went thru my house moving and carry loads of stuffs. In a couple of days I will be handling over the car, I can almost cry with the thought of that. My heart is heavy and my soul is tortured. I frantically take photos and videos on every opportunity. however numbers of photos will never be enough. I hope I will get over soon.

Six_ghz Neutral Newbie January 31, 2007 Share January 31, 2007 It's a TLC note for the next buyer, hoping he/she will continue to drive safely and enjoy the usage. I was so confident that the car will be trouble-free I even left my hp number in the note, and also to share the idiosyncracies of the car if need be. None called. The last time I check, the car number has been deregistered. Ouch. It's no Ferraris or Lambos but a humble Seat Ibiza 1.0, but it's one car with c-h-a-r-a-c-t-e-r! Rollagt 5th Gear January 31, 2007 Share January 31, 2007 I saw an article which a marine engineer was about to return home after several months on the sea..Just before the voyage, the engine broke down and they cant go home. The engineer went to the engine room and "casually chat" with the engine telling it he missed his family and wife is pregnant and suddenly the engine kick back to life ! How true the story I not sure but think it apply to cars too. U "dote" on it then it will return u the favour of less breakdown and stuff.haha!~

Huggable Clutched February 3, 2007 Share February 3, 2007 Oh well, in 1st person perspective, the reply will simply be "I cried". Huggable shed a few tears while removing the strut bar from his previous Sephia, which served him faithfully for almost 6 years. You're not the only one! Huggable is strange for talking abt himself as a third party
Huggable Clutched February 3, 2007 Share February 3, 2007 Didn't the used car trader, or your SE tell you what are they doing with your old car? My Sephia was cut into halves, at the scrapyard for export as half-cuts. ↡ Advertisement
