Andrewkb Neutral Newbie April 17, 2003 Share April 17, 2003 Thot so. But did u notice sound reduction at the time when it did stick? Well, psychologically yes .. but after awhile, no .. So, I dunno if it really works ... got 4 cans for all the wheel wells ! Cheap cheap, so no complain ... JUST SPRAY ! BTW, remember to use newspaper to cover your previous tyres/rims before U spray and make sure U don't overspray onto the body.
Cool Neutral Newbie April 17, 2003 Share April 17, 2003 errr brudder.. I know it works but I think I got to disappoint you a little. (Maybe not your car cos it is new...) For older cars, you need to clean out the dirts first then spray else it won't stick. After weeks in the rain, it will just disappear. Best if you clean the arches with TUrpintine before you spray.. GDIzen Neutral Newbie April 17, 2003 Author Share April 17, 2003 Sounds promising. Do u have to prepare the wheel arches wif any special cleaners or primers to ensure the coating sticks well? U have to hose down the wheels wells to remove any mud, sand, leaves and then let it dry i abit and can start to spray on the stuff which is why I was in ahurry to do it before a lot of dirt gets 'coated'
Flaser Neutral Newbie April 17, 2003 Share April 17, 2003 Thinking aloud again... Anyone here tried to aerofoam their wheel arches before? I mean, just find some ways to make sure it is secured to the wheel arch properly. Or what about the inside of the wheel arch, i.e. the engine bay
GDIzen Neutral Newbie April 17, 2003 Author Share April 17, 2003 But that seems to be the only alternative as you can't glue Accumat there right? Anyway, Tuff Kote lasts a year before there's a need to reapply but this is way cheaper...

Cool Neutral Newbie April 17, 2003 Share April 17, 2003 I have aero-TAPE my gaps of my arches.. it does help. However.. to be honest, YOU NEED A LOT OF PATIENCE cos the arch is difficult. An only AERO-TAPE is water proof. I gave up... cos I was lazy to remove the rims and could not really concentrate that time as my wife was nagging at me.. Maybe i can try that out...if not, then i might just go to Tuff Kote and get the arches "tuff koted" again My 2 cents only...
