Interesting observation on road noise...

Having driven the car home after picking it up, I noticed some tyre roar even with stock rims and tyres. (195/60/15). So I decided to try a little experiment by spraying rubberized coating onto the inner wheel wells just like what you get when you 'Tuff Kote' your car.

After doing that, the road noise from the wheels seems to be more subdued than usual!

I wonder if that's effective in silencing the noise? [:/]

Anyway, I managed to 'Tuff Kote' half the car with the other half tomorrow when I get some ICE! [idea]

Wow, that reaffirms my observation. At first, I thought that was purely psychological as when you apply something, you kinda hope it works! [thumbsup][thumbsup]

Sounds promising. [thumbsup] Do u have to prepare the wheel arches wif any special cleaners or primers to ensure the coating sticks well?
