King 1st Gear January 15, 2007 Share January 15, 2007 it seem that Rx8 cannot out perform rx7....so rx7 still ask for premium price
Chromas 1st Gear January 15, 2007 Share January 15, 2007 Very true... At the rate things are going... the price of our cars will just shoot up... however, I really dun intend to sell my car after all I've done for it...
Chromas 1st Gear January 15, 2007 Share January 15, 2007 Very expensive... but it out-performs the RX8 easily...
Jonjees 1st Gear January 15, 2007 Share January 15, 2007 besides performance, the body shape different also. rx7 is much nicer than the praying mantis rx8.
Jonjees 1st Gear January 15, 2007 Share January 15, 2007 No one wants to sell, thats why the price of our car will shoot up. If the south follows paper value and post tat unit for sale at $65-70k, I am sure it would be snapped up in less than a week. But fact is, you wont see many units anymore for sale, all units has changed hands .. might have to wait 2-3 more years before you see another wide selection of 15 for sale. hehe
King 1st Gear January 15, 2007 Share January 15, 2007 i remeber someone told me couple of year ago in sepang asia one of the race.... 1st is skyline 2nd is Rx7 with lot of alfa sticker
Chromas 1st Gear January 15, 2007 Share January 15, 2007 Yup... The first choice would have been a skyline... the ferocity of that machine is to be matched... The RX7 was brutal, but yet beautiful at the same time... ... finally came the Silvia with its oh-sexy-curvy-lines... ~melts~
Chromas 1st Gear January 15, 2007 Share January 15, 2007 Very true... a lot of the first time owners from the 2002 era have mostly sold their S15 already... now it's us who will drive them... depending on how long we intend to keep this car... Touch_n_go Neutral Newbie January 15, 2007 Share January 15, 2007 2002 is the last production yr of S15 rite? how long has S15 been around? i rmb seeing a '99 S15 goin for 90k from airing PI at 2003..the PI had quite a number of S15, skylines and rx7, but the PI is no wher to be found now
Chromas 1st Gear January 15, 2007 Share January 15, 2007 Yes, it went off production in early 2003. It's been around since about 1999. The model has been running well and the design at its time was already considered ahead of its time, just like the Skyline and Rx7 of that era, and not forgetting the Supra of then too. Turbonetics 2nd Gear January 15, 2007 Share January 15, 2007 i agree that the RX-7 is much nicer than the RX-8. the door handle of the RX-7 is "hidden".if the door opens like the Diablo,it will definitely be much cool.
Turbonetics 2nd Gear January 15, 2007 Share January 15, 2007 yes,GTR-34 is by far the most sexiest japanese coupe. i prefer the FD with the head light not popping up. and in the range of Silvias, definitely S15 is the best looking. i don't fancy the look of the S14 at all. Chromas 1st Gear January 15, 2007 Share January 15, 2007 The various Silvia's have a loyal following... some for certain shapes or characteristics of the car... I personally like the GTR-34 and the S15 looks... but the older ones have something to like to. I just loved one of the Top Gear videos when Jeremy did a 4 wheel slide/drift with the blue GTR-

Chromas 1st Gear January 16, 2007 Share January 16, 2007 Very true... it's a very signature part of the Silvia family... but the S14 one actually looks like a shield too.
Touch_n_go Neutral Newbie January 16, 2007 Share January 16, 2007 is it true tat all sg s15 are turbo charged? 2.5l engine? silvia K means turbo? ↡ Advertisement
