Petrol refilling pattern

okei my friend asked me to check with you dudes abt this topic ..is it better to use the petrol to the max so you wont leave any overdue petrol in the tank or is it better to keep the tank to half full or more . Which is better? I heard the latter is better option but she heard otherwise. So seeking opinions from you all. coz you all lao jiao mah right ??
