Hiya... fren just filled his tyres with nitrogen. Am told it's lighter, more constant temperature etc.

Wondering if anyone in MCF tried - what's the effect before and after ?

I have mined pumped with nitrogen. I had my tyres changed. Can't exactly tell if it is the new tyres or the nitrogen that make the ride more bumpy. But I am okay with it. nod.gif

I was told I can pump at ordinary petrol kiosk. thumbsup.gif

That's what my fren did too, so he really can't tell either.

Maybe I'll give it a go if not too pricey, now that I've pretty much bedded in my tyres/rims already.

actually in CAS, they pump nitrogen for you free if you take their servicing package. some more, they give unlimited tyre puncture service. i think if you just to pump ur tyres, it cost $28...

Went back to Stamford Tyres where I got my rims/tyres to do electronic wheel alignment + got them to package in the nitrogen. Seems to be marginally lighter on handling, even under slightly lower tyre pressure (I run my tyres hard usually). Will try some more and share. [:)]

Total $80, GST included. Actually got ripped off already - they should have aligned my wheels when I changed rims/tyres from them 3 months back, but didn't know better then and didn't insist, so now no record/evidence. [mad]
