Diesel more expensive

Just came back from New South Wales after driving around for 8 days covering 2,700km.

 

Noted that from pump to pump, prices can vary considerably by more than A$0.10.

 

But the most surprising discovery is that the diesel prices are higher than unleaded petrol and there is such thing as gas at half of diesel prices. Wonder what is the gas?

 

The average premium petrol price is about A$1.20.

 

Never drive in Sydney centre. Parking is very expensive and hotels don't provide free parking. Overnight parking can be A$16 and hourly parking can be as high as A$8 per hour.

 

Driving in the city is also an agony as streets are short with traffic lights.

In Sg, commercial vans using diesel pay only $500 road tax per year. Car dunno.

 

In oz, auto car wash is about A$14. Insurance very high. I was paying A$30 per day with no excess. Road tax dunno.

 

I was washing my car, a 2.4L camry altise when a family asked me to also wash their car, also a camry. I said no problem but it will A$20. They said that's cheap!!!

Maybe u r a good looking guy & they got a "kick" out of watching your bod while u washed your car. A$20 to watch u is cheaper than going to Chippendale's for a show.

May be coz I was in short with a singlet with many holes, though the weather was cold.

After 3 or 4 days, the rented car was dirty and I need to use the car for next 5 days. So no choice coz auto car wash was A$14.

There was no bucket in the resort. So I emptied the the little refuse bin from the kitchen to use as bucket.

 

I had no cloth and I can't sacrifice my towel.

But I realised later that I forgot to remove it from the side pocket when I returned the car!!!

Dirty, then dirty lah. Its a rental car. Even the rental companies don't bother too much with washing them, they focus on the cleanliness of the interior.

it happens in sg too...near my place...u get stuck traffic light after traffic light...

by the time u get stuck at the 3rd one...u get so fed up...

that the 4th one...u mati mati muz cheong to break that curse...
