The 5 series is at the end of it's life and will be replaced by a new model. I've never imagined this day but here goes, 'I would buy the new MB E class over BM 5 series!' I find the new E class looks so much better than the old 'tow-kayish' E class. I think MB is going the right way but BM is doing a reverse in terms of design.

I'd better run and hide............. sweatdrop.gif

Cheers!

Mike.

Is the new 5 series out?

I also think the S-class is beautiful too. Somehow they manage to make a barge look smaller than it really is! With it's advanced self adjustable suspension system...... thumbsup.gifthumbsup.gifthumbsup.gif

5-series will be out in 4 mths time....sweatdrop.gifSo there is a stock of 200 cars to clear from wat i heard...and prices (E39) have dropped yet again today!thumbsup.gif

And the HUGE, deep dish stock rims are damn 'tok-kong'. One of the best stock rims I've ever seen! thumbsup.gif

Those deep dish rims are 19" you know..of course 'tok-kong' lah. laugh.gif

Yep. Just test drove the 520iA Executive [E39] model today. nod.gif Its using the same 2.2litre engine as the 320iA. Specs for 520iA are 170bhp/210Nm@3500rpm/10.2s. Acceleration is smooth w/o the slight 'push in the back' you get from the Kompressor engines. External/road noise is kept to a minimum with the excellent furnishings. Any options to upgrade the sound system has to be done overseas before delivery here.

From today onwards, there are 200+ of the E39 going for S$174K [Current], S$179K [Executive] and S$192K [sports]. thumbsup.gif YOM is late 2002 or early 2003. nod.gif

The new E60 coming in towards the 4th Quarter this year should cost around the same as the E-Class pricing of ~S$200K+. sweatdrop.gif

Will test drive the E200K next when I'm free. tongue.gif
