hey all,

what do you all recommend that comes in above size?

prime considerations for me:

1.inexpensive

2.reasonably silent

3.reasonable all-round performance

in that order!

Using the Yoko A Drive now, good all round performance. But it is not for hardcore racer.

I'm also on 205/40/17. I'm intending to change tyres in a few mths time but my preference is in order of priority:

1) Less noise (noisy tyres makes my ICE sux)

2) Performance (should give considerable performance coz I like to corner hard at times)

3) Cost (Not really an issue as I realise good things are not cheap) [scholar]

Hopefully some bros here can help.

I assume you are driving CVR. I have done some research for 205/40R17:

1) Goodyear F1 GSD3

2) Falken RT615

3) Toyo T1R

4) Yokohama A drive (can't remember A drive or S drive)

Aiya. SONAR tyres are M+S ==> Mud + Snow. They offer poor grip in our ultra warm climate, also harden quickly

I using Firenze ST-03 but its ZR rated, not R.

Mine is 205/40/ZR17.

Heard ZR is better.

Made in Japan.

Top model of its brand.

Quiet and grippy.

Lifespan I still trying. Already travelled 15k on it for abt half a year. Still more than 70% left.
