Can anyone advise what's the actual selling price now? Saw the ads advertising for between 70-80G. If get OPC what will be the price?

 

By the way how's the ride?

Taking the weight of the car and the midship layout, it does'nt need a big engine.

It's a good car no doubt though it's quite dated.

 

Since getting OPC, quite worth it. But lousy trunk space at the front.

Trunk space is Zero at front. Only some brake fuild and some other fluids with a spare tyre in front.. Only Storage Space is behind steas.. =) But its my dream car la.. Very nice looking roadster..

The trunk probably enough for a small bag or two. Its a good looking car, imo. A porsche look alike, without the price of a porsche.

 

In an older thread, it is said that the car can achieve about 13 something in terms of fc. Like what the other guy said, given the weight of the car, the 1.8 vvti should be powerful enough. Pickup, according to one of the forum threads, is sub 10 secs, for manual. Not sure about the auto one.

I tried driving before.. Pickup from standstill and from cruising are both very very addicted. Haha.. FC is known to hit 14KM/L for auto version.

Would seriously think about buying it, if not for the thing that its a 2 seater only, or that its a 2nd car.

Well, it is a great fun car. As it is a mid-engine rear wheel drive spyder (MR-S), the handling is superb! If u like drifting, it is good. very controlled as well.

 

The car is responsive due to its light weight and thus power to weight ratio is good. VVT-i engine is good in low end torque anyway. However, the stock power is not consider great as compare to its counterpart (don't compare to normal sedan).

 

With its 6 speed gearbox for both manual and SMT, u can really play with the gearing. U can forget about the space at the car bonnet. U can just put in a haversack. space behind the seat r quite ok for normal use lah. But not for big shopping or big items.

 

Good choice as a 2nd car.

how much you sold? Seems like this car the de-pre pretty low. Saw ads selling 60+G for 3 year old. Anyone knows the OPC price?

If within budget, why not go for recently launched final MR-S V-edition ? Limited to 1000 JDM units. A collector's car since Toyota gonna end production very soon for this 1999 babe.
