100% Check at Singapore Customs

Yesterday was a fun day at Permas Jaya Go-kart track. Tried out the fun kart as well as the 100cc (390cc x 4 strokes) karts, we had a good meal and headed back to SG.

After driving through a 4-lane (in 3 lane) to a 3 lane JB custom side and after being stared at by a dark blue Mazda 6 with so many gauges who wanted to cut lanes just cos my JB passport stamping lane was going faster, I was driving happily back to SG customs at Woodlands.

After SG passport checks and driving past the customs, it was the final lane before we hit the BKE stretch.

There are these 4 inspection parking lots meant for 100% thorough check of the car and lo behold, I was asked to go into one of the lots for inspection.

- Open the boot sweatdrop.gifsweatdrop.gif

- Empty the boot sweatdrop.gifsweatdrop.gifsweatdrop.gif === tongue.giflaugh.gif

There was much laughter and candor as we went through the process of going through my car, checking every nook and cranny that they could get to. Even my Secret Recipe cake was not spared (which was Chocolate Indulgence flavour, yummy stuff). laugh.giflaugh.gifPosted Image

3 helmets in the boot from the go-kart session, plus my Kumho mechanic suit that I used for karing purpose were what made up the bulk of the "mess" in the boot, along with a foldable chair and a Hotstuff Magaziine (no prizes for guessing which month's issue this is).

After giving the car a thorough check, here were the comments:-

"Steering wheel can take out one, is it?" Posted Image

"Erm, your boot is very messy." Posted Image

"Is that dog hair I see stuck to the carpet?" Posted Image

"How much was the cake? What flavour is it?" Posted Image

All this happening and everyone driving past must be thinking... "Wah, this car siao liao lah, must be smuggling something inside." Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

Think someone doesn't like you and sabo you by tipping customs that there might be contraband in your car.....

Did the dogs go into your car? Heard they smell pretty bad and stink up the entire car for days.

Oh well, anyone can go ahead and do so. My purpose in JB is always quite simple.

- Go drifting at Gelang Patah

- Play go-kart at Permas Jaya

- Grab a meal after either of the above

- Get my car washed and vacuum for RM 8 (which I didn't do last Sun laugh.gif)

- Top up fuel before returning back to JB

- Play bumper car at JB customs to get back to SG tongue.gifsly.giflaugh.gif

My dogs ride in car, that's where the fur comes from. wink.gif

My dogs are well groomed and don't stink at all. So there's almost no smell in the car from them. nod.gif

Yah man... And that Mazda 6 that later passed by my car, seeing that I was stopped, had that smug look on his face, like he had won a race... hur.gif

But I must say that considering that it was a 100% check, I think the on-lookers must have thought all of us were nuts as there was so much laughter while they were inspecting the car, cos they kept coming up with little surprises on what my car could do. laugh.giflaugh.giflaugh.gif

Cannot... Wah liew, we went through all that trouble to get the cake... which was only RM65 for a very heavy cake... and it was super nice to eat when we brought it over to Liquid Kitchen (Thompson Road) to share... of course we ordered quite a fair amount of stuff to eat at Liquid Kitchen too nod.gif

Oh... paiseh... blush.gif

Nope, they didn't use their sniffer dogs to go through the car at all... mostly checking out the panelling of the car that was being used to conceal my amplifier system.

I got them from the Secret Recipe shop at Jusco. You can get it in Singapore as well, but it cost more.

I ordered Chocolate Indulgence and Chocolate Banana... Yummy stuff... thumbsup.gif

Wah.... 2 for RM$65.... are those 1 kg cakes? So 2 kg for RM$65.... which is about $15/kg. Ok lah.... slightly cheaper than Sgp. Never tried Secret Recipe cakes before....

But I guess its the quality that is more important. If its really top grade stuff.... then it'll be well worth it as locally, it'll cost more than $26 /kg

Sorry, it was 2 cakes at RM65 each... The whole cakes from Secret R usually are not cheap, but they're very nice.

Yesterday, we passed one slice to a NON-CHOCOLATE person... he was HOOKED... laugh.gif
