where was the bridge used to be located?

i can't remember

only remember the location of the former Springleaf camp

Funny no one staying at Springleaf reading this.

Springleaf Camp NCC is long gone. It is now a bare grass patch of land. I remembered camping there during my NCC days when I was secondary 2 in the early 90s. Did some topo around the forested area. There was some kampong houses within the forest at that time, can walk out to Lentor Ave.

As for the wooden bridge, it's been replaced by a standard looking road bridge. Here's a screenshot from google map.

think you and i are from the same era :D

i never expect them to demolish the camp

drove past in mid-2000s, so decided to go take a look at my former NCC camp but couldn't find a single trace

thought i got the location wrong, but eventually found out it was demolished

got a lot of fond memories there

sighz...

Bump this old thread up.

Not sure if the road is haunted but I just went for a solo drive at Old Choa Chu Kang Rd. This road leads to entrance of Poyan Range and is flanked by Choa Chu Kang Chinese Cemetery and the Muslim Cemetery.

I didn't catch 'anyone' along the way but its farking creepy looking into the chinese cemetery while driving along. And it was raining and at about 11+pm... Go and try it if you're curious enough

I just went on sat night to give my xiao hei abit of room to breathe (stuck in morning city traffic all week). Quite an enchanting and refreshigly quiet place. Fortunately or unfortunately, did not meet any new non-human friends/foes.

Also, the various Lim Chu Kang lanes , neo tiew road and kranji way are really nice roads to drive on at night with the fresh air and curves, just be careful (almost ran over some nuts on the road that could have cause a tyre blowout). Rewarding night drive for those of us who enjoy the simple pleasure of bonding with your car and werking it.

On a side note, the long Lim Chu Kang road stretch is def haunted. Back in 2011 when I was in still NS, drove back from my camp (Gedong) late one night (exercise period, working late), and it was during the 7th month. Had an unwelcome visitor in my car. was cruising along at 70ish and suddenly felt the interior being really cold. realised the thermostat was alr at 28 degrees so found it weird.. felt smth behinf and adjusted my mirror to see a dark silhoutte in the back seat, told the thing "no free ride for you, you want then sit my friend's car it's a BMW and its coming up behind" (we left camp tgr) and felt the presence leave immediately. temperature returned to normal and I accelerated to get the hell out of the area at speeds that would see me drinking kopi with TP
