I'm using thai made gsd3 too

starting i'm very very impressed with the quietness, grip and everything else.

Now its getting noisy, done more than 20km.. in fact its very noisy =(

I've no problem with high speed cornering as i pump up my tyre rock hard.

still quite happy with eagle f1 cos its relatively cheap and looks chio

when it comes to tires, i only look out for a few particular brands.. and do take note of which country it comes from, better if it comes frm usa, europe or japan.

michelin, goodyear, dunlop

and firenza is definitely out, had bad experience with it before, weak grip, poor lifespan, rubbers deteriorate pretty fast.

i think 15" ones are called Eagle F1 (without the "GSD3") ie. made in Thailand. those made in German ones are Eagle F1 GSD3 and usually come in 17" and above but they are now almost impossible to get. you pay for what you get. the German ones are a league above the Thai ones in terms of pricing and performance.

Yes, I had the similar experience; my feeling is not 'like tyres going to give way' but a sundden 'jerk' or slippage. I've increased the pressure by 1psi and the problem seemed to have gone; but the same happened yesterday when I was going round a bend and at the same time trying to switch lane.

I need to re-check the tyre pressure and maybe further increase tyre pressure to experiment it.

I have also noted in Goodyear.com.sg website, they recommended 36psi which is much higher than my car's recommendation of 32psi.

Called the Goodyear Technical guy, he explained that 36psi is the designed pressure for the tyres with max. contact area. Tried it since and the 'floatation' feeling is gone when cornered hard; but the tyres now are 'rock hard' and sacrifice a little on comfort.

Firenza ST03 is a drift tyre, meaning you can probably drift out of control easily, and it is very noisy and SUPER LOUSY in the wet.

I've used St-03 in my last car and current ride and I think it is a decent tyres. Any tyres are DRIFTing tyres if it is driven by axxxxxe who've problem keeping the car in control!

yup, gt to agree, used both Thai and German Eagle F1s b4. One heaven and one earth.

German ones are better than the thai in every aspect. I would think the Thai F1 as an average performer only, mebbe can compare to BFgoodrich.

German F1s are in the UHP league. More ex than thai ones, but worth every single cent. And yes, they are a rarity now.
