Cannot recommend shop as the one I went to (in AMK autopoint) charged a little high but service good....

Ferringi2000 Neutral Newbie June 14, 2007 Share June 14, 2007 i am using the mx35 ... so far so good, the dry grid quite impressive during my penang trip. but value wise not worth as it price slightly higher than japanese tyre. i have mine installation at ammk park 2a ... can recall the shop name though. Nerdyfrog Neutral Newbie June 15, 2007 Share June 15, 2007 i am on maxxis M35 Victra Assymet too. noise level not that high yet, due to its still 1 month old. i find its grip on wet and dry satisfying. agree the price is on the high side. but presume-ably, it last longer than the eagle f1(rumoured high wear rate.) then it will be worth it. keeping my fingers cross on the lifespan. eagle cost about $90, m35 cost about $115. (price quoted based on 195/50/r15 profile.)
Sevnrg Neutral Newbie June 16, 2007 Share June 16, 2007 was on Victra MA-Z1 205/40/17, dry grip is vgood and excellent in the wet. cuts through puddles at 100kmh without qualms. v confidence inspiring esp nw rainy weather i tink there only 1 shop selling?? correct me if im wrong imho Toyo T1R is overrated, Victras are better in both wet and dry
Dec7f Neutral Newbie July 8, 2007 Share July 8, 2007 Am on lower range, MA-P1, grip wise gd on both dry & wet.. 50k liao, still can last another 10k, only complaint's veri noisey Overall, value for money & tink tat amk shop's the only dealer tat's bring in this brand, free 30k of rotation, service
Rickyokc Neutral Newbie July 9, 2007 Share July 9, 2007 only shop selling the tyre ,maybe that's why the pricing is on the higher side
Destiny03 Clutched July 9, 2007 Share July 9, 2007 the shop name is call ES tire at AMK AUTO point. Good service and the only distributor of MAXXIS IIRC
Qwert Clutched July 9, 2007 Share July 9, 2007 Price wise compared in 18" different for the Eagle... M35 is around $225 whereas Eagle Germany is $290 to $300. So cost less Am thinking of trying out either the M35 or Z1 when my current tyres due to change.
Eskimo Neutral Newbie April 28, 2008 Share April 28, 2008 Quote i am on maxxis M35 Victra Assymet too.noise level not that high yet, due to its still 1 month old. i find its grip on wet and dry satisfying. Finally found a couple of users using M35 and gave good comments on them. Can't find a good performance tyres for my high profile 19/65R15. So confirm will change stock S-221 tires to Maxxis M35
Parkingidiot 1st Gear July 29, 2009 Share July 29, 2009 (edited) Drag up this thread to give some input about Maxxis tyre. I am on Maxxis MA/Z1 Victra 205/45/16 for a couple of years now. Thinking of changing soon as thread is going down. My views on this tyre: 1. noisy 2. excellent handling and road holding on both dry and wet roads (bends at high speed in wet weather before). 3. good braking (on stock disc brakes) 4. long lasting.. now about 2.5yrs and about 50k of mileage so far. 5. expensive.. about $100+ per tyre (if i remember correctly) Anybody have any other tyres to recommend with good road holding, handling and braking on dry and wet roads? Please suggest, thanks! Edited July 29, 2009 by Parkingidiot

I using this tire for abt 6 months already & have no complaints. Also cheaper than the alternatives like PP2 or RE001. Abt $115 ea. Good value for money tire. Got mine from Soh Bros/Frankie
