Lightspeed Clutched December 1, 2006 Share December 1, 2006 (edited) Neuspeed, Eibach, H&R, OMP ... not much choices I can think of ... hard to get your hands on them too unless you import them yourselves... Can try approaching Servo for Neuspeed Hotwheels for Eibach (since they're the distributor for Eibach Springs) Mikimarketing for OMP/Sparco Can you use any meant for the Passat? or any OEM ones on the same platform? Maybe check with Xinzhong for any OEM ones available Edited December 1, 2006 by Lightspeed

Lamy Neutral Newbie December 3, 2006 Author Share December 3, 2006 Am considering neuspeed, heard that it is easier to get replacement mounts and bushings if needed as opposed to the other brands. I believe I can use the ARB made for passat platform. For my spb, a new neuspeed arb is above $1K for front & back. Back being more expensive. Finding a 2nd hand ARB is possible but suggest ordering new bushings. Found out not worth it to bring in yourself, freight and taxes lah. But there are supplier in sg that will bring in for us if we want. Will let you know if I find anything or anywhere. Lamy
Lamy Neutral Newbie December 3, 2006 Author Share December 3, 2006 I know, I was there when you were installing yours. Can't stop thinking about it. Move it up the mod priority list. Is your sus stock? Lamy

Fisheye Neutral Newbie December 4, 2006 Share December 4, 2006 Lamy, I was actually considering ARBs too but decided to upgrade suspensions instead... the rational is that with ARBs, although you do get better handling in corners as this minimises body roll, the additional stiffness means that the carbody flex is transfered to other parts of the car leading to premature wear on these parts. Another reason is that when you do hard cornering, you lose feeling on when the car is going to loose traction in the bend. you can read up on this at Vagsg... Echelon 3rd Gear December 4, 2006 Share December 4, 2006 How about upgrading both? Does that solve the wear and tear suspect?
Lamy Neutral Newbie December 5, 2006 Author Share December 5, 2006 You are right. I actually intend to do both, but doing the ARB 1st and shortly after the sus. No reason, well money actually. Can't afford to both at the same time. ARB being the cheaper of the two. Besides I actually would like to feel what each enhancement does for the car. Nets Neutral Newbie December 5, 2006 Share December 5, 2006 How about for my Octy A5; will both cost as much too?

Lamy Neutral Newbie December 5, 2006 Author Share December 5, 2006 Welcome, to the SOG brotherhood. I am fairly new myself so I cannot tell you off hand. But I assume that you should be able to find one that fits, as skoda cars are based on the same platform as the VW. I suggest that you call up the workshops listed in this car club, they should be able to tell you if there is one and how much. Lamy

Try_conti 2nd Gear December 7, 2006 Share December 7, 2006 I think so. If you know any other A5 owner being 'stranded' after they got their ride, you're welcome to refer them to the SOG. CA is of no help. Guess you've already found that out by yourself after u got ur ride ?
