Looking at dumping my current ride [:/]

and going for a small hatch (with crappy boot space as compared to the Octy)

Japanese Colt 1.5L @ $65k ($58600 after discount/rebates), $5.6k/yr if driven till 10th yr (based on $65k)

01) Brand new

02) Strictly 4 seater

03) Fabric seats

04) Small hatch (with rear wiper [:p] )

05) Cupholders, cubby holes... lots of em ...

06) Small boot space

07) Lower road tax

08) Better FC (ron95 capable)

09) Fun factor (6spd cvt tiptronic)

10) 154bhp stock

11) 3yrs warranty, servicing @ agent or 1001 workshops (including GarageR, ST Powered, etc.)

12) Rice boy racer image

vs

Conti 1.8L Octy @ $7k/yr if driven till 10th yr and current paper value of $41k and $0 for body [shakehead]

01) 5.5yrs old, many wear and tear parts to be replaced

02) 5 seater

03) Leather seats

04) Big hatch (without rear wiper [:|] )

05) No cupholders, little cubby holds to put your misc. stuff

06) Big boot space

07) Higher Road Tax

08) Strictly Ron98 and above

09) 4spd auto conventional gearbox (just reconditioned @ $2k)

10) 200+bhp with lots of mods

11) No warranty, servicing and other stuff stuck with Servotronic, Eurohaus, CAG, etc.

12) Conti car owner image [rolleyes][:p]

I have a friend who drives the Colt Sports Ralliart edition, century sprint in 8 seconds. 1.5L car.

Quite a zipper suprisingly roomy for a car this size.

Yo, i saw your car at holland carpark couple of days ago. You live there uh?

Anyway, jap cars i would prefer Mitsu or Honda. Both with potential modding capabilities.

Beside the crappy Japanese car (with safety, questionable). You might like to look at the financial aspect of changing a car, beside the straight line calculation you have made.

If you intending to change to another car using a finance company, then you will loose more than what is highlighted here, it might better off driving your existing ride till the end.

Lastly, if you are selling your car with no body value I will help you get some value for it, like what we have spoke about sometime ago.

Am interested in the car body..... unsure.gifunsure.gifunsure.gifunsure.gif somehow I have always made myself sounds like a cannabal

I posted my FR on test drive in that thread lol [laugh]

(Don't laugh at my FR lol [laugh] )

Yup ... going for CVT... I'm an auto slut ...

Although I really... (yes...read that... REALLY [:p] ) prefer manual cars, the hassle of going through the motions in daily driving and crazy MSCPs and the crazy up and downs on the CTE, etc. deters me from getting a manual tx car again (I've owned manual cars before [:)] )

Alamak... you spotted me [sweatdrop]

Modding... hmm ... I think for my next car I'll go easy on the mods ...

Don't want to lose all the comfort again like I did with the Octy [:/]

Well... after offsetting the current loan, I still have about more than half of the rebate left for downpayment of the next car. Don't have to fork out any $ unless I want to take a smaller loan, etc. Arrrgh.... headache [:p]

Also, the hassle of going through the de-modding process of the current car... another headache ... scouting for buyers... leaving the car in the workshop to be torn apart...etc. [smallcry]
