Recomm Subwoofer <$200

Read through alot of threads with highend subwoofers. I have a Alpine 9807 HU, any recommendation for a not-so-bad subwoofer just to make my music sound better?

Try Efx subwoofers, I'm currently using this one http://www.scosche.com/efx.aspx?CategoryID=69&ItemID=HDW1004. Cost under $150 for the woofer alone, well within your budget.

small ride... 8" sub with amp will more then do the job to rock ur car. if outta space, get those active sub to place under front seat/

Apart from the cost of the sub-woofer itself, do remember that you need an amp to power it up also - a good mono-bloc amp does not come cheap

the sub wont be able to perform as a sub without a amp..ur HU dont generate enuf power to drive the sub...even if u attach, the most abit of sound from the sub...increase volume of ur HU, it might get switch off, sub drew all the power it got...

I'm thinking of buying the under seat sub too but can't seem to find any brands that sells.

 

Any idea on where or how much it'll cost with installation?

 

I currently have a 4 channel amp so should not be an issue to run the active sub? Orsince it is already an active sub, I need only to hook it up to the HU?

active sub, just make sure u hv crossover or the sub has this feature and u can tap direct fr the HU. but HU need a bit of tuning also, preferably with power amp boost output. this will displace the need for amp. else, get hold of a passive subwoofer since u already got the amp. just make sure the woofer not too larger else sub punchek.. lao hong..
