Teckheng Neutral Newbie November 22, 2006 Share November 22, 2006 (edited) Just coming out from a carpark and this jeep in front of me reserve at a tight corner and kiss into my bumper. Before he reserve, I am hands on my horn in case he come too close, then till the distance when not even one motorbike can go in between us, i horned 1 second, then he stopped and reserve again, then i horned one more tme, but too late, he kissing my front bumper. I immd. hazard light on. To my surprise, he put to Drive and drive off the place, i am still in my car and horned at him 4-5 times short horns and a LONG horn. Despite all the horns, he just drive off and exit the ticket carpark. I come down and inspect my bumper, no damage from viewing it using the street lamps, but no idea will it be visible when i bring it close when i washing the car. Then mins ago on the radio, heard the DJ on Class95 saying about one singer Hit and Run, and told the court she didn't realise she knock another car and was punish with a 2yrs suspend of her driving liens. Should i follow up or forget it? Is it a drunk guy driving ? Was it a hit and run ? No damage from the look now, but what if the bumper clips tommorrow falls apart ? Nutty 4th Gear November 22, 2006 Share November 22, 2006 If there's no visible damage, forget it la. Although his actions are despicable, don't waste your energy reporting to police.

Sony 1st Gear November 22, 2006 Share November 22, 2006 (edited) Did you take down the car's detail? Why didn't you give chase when you are in the car? from driving off to existing the carpark, there's ample time. Frankly, it's front to back. if the other party want to play punk, you might end up paying .. Best is for you to check on your bumper NOW rather than sitting here and waiting for replies in MCF. This is the most practical solution. if everything is ok for you and if you are worried, make a police report at your police post for record purpose so that shd the other party's bumper drop off, he don't come and say u knock into him but I don't think it's possible since he reverse into you and drove off, so not possible for him to see your car number. Nutty 4th Gear November 22, 2006 Share November 22, 2006 I had similar incident with a slight twist. A van parked until its butt kissed my butt. I got a shock when I go retrieve my car. (Funny why the van never did a hit-n-run. Maybe he can't feel anything) So I took a few pics with my mobile phone including the car plates. When I moved my car to a brighter spot, I noticed there's no visible marks on the bumper. So I forget it and saved the trouble.

Teckheng Neutral Newbie November 22, 2006 Author Share November 22, 2006 (edited) that is wad they told me just mins ago. i insist on going to the police station and check with the police if a report is needed, they make noise and tell me insurance cannot claim on the car... zzz i took up the advise from you guys, MCF, and they keep saying impossible, no need, police can do nothing. Make my blood boil, give up and land back in front of my computer and whack it all out. i trying to lesser my parents burden, i took the petrol, session parking and cleaning, maintaining and tear and wear sololy from my <2k payslip, the only thing i cannot manage and didn't touch is Road Tax and Insurance, which takes place once a year. my head not so big, and i am irresponsible. Sony 1st Gear November 22, 2006 Share November 22, 2006 It's not so much of claiming on the other party, moreover, there's nothing to claim since there's nothing wrong with your car. it's a formality to ensure that shd the other party turn ard and bite back, you are still "covered" Anyway, sleep on it and it's over lar.. dun bother doing anything since u are certain the other party didn't see your number. Cheers. P.S. apologies if my previous post sound harsh.

If you are not in a parking lot, while he is reversing, then the fault lies with you. You should reverse a little to let him have more room to get out of the tight spot, as you said. Humsuplou Neutral Newbie November 22, 2006 Share November 22, 2006 Either you are meek by nature or you are very kind hearted ... i would have done a different thing.... i would have bang into the driver and claim that he reversed into me... Just 30 mins ago an odessy driven by a lady couldnt properly turn into the narrow carpark entrance ..and she hit reverse gear ..i was 1 M behind her ...she moved ....i honked and got down immediately ..knock on her windwo and ask her what is she doing....she apologized profusely
