i tried ... seems to work

 

today v strange ah ... go up sheares bridge from marina ... can only hit 40km/h

good hor..it change from 3rd to 4th almost instantly...can pick up spd fast and not so heavy on fc..

 

coz u need momentum to go up wat...cant go up u have to full throttle to drop gear or to release the throttle and then depress it again to drop to 3rd for more torque...

 

u stick to the constant pedal the car wont move.....

Yup,guess I not used to it yet as I constantly need to look at which gear I am in.

My previous habit was just to rev harder(>2.5K) at all gears for faster pickup and rev <2.5K for relaxed style. Anyway, what's the rationale behind ur technique?

there wider ratio for gear 2 and 4 to compensate the close ratio of 3rd and 5th gear in a manual...doing so will be light on FC and able to pick spd abit faster...

bo lar..but they compensate by having wider gear ratio in 2nd and 4th lor...tat y u see the rpm drop when u hit the cruising spd and rpm increase without dropping gear when u climbing up gentle slope with constant pedal...
