How,

The radio reception for my 4 weeks old Mit Lancer is rather poor. Are there any ways I can boost the reception?

Thanks and regards.

[laugh] I'm kidding. U can try installing grounding cables. Cost around $60 plus installation for 5 pt grounding.

Digital Audio Broadcasting.

But you need a Aux in in your HU for that. otherwise you need to spend quite a bit of money to hook it up. But that is not 100% clear. at certain locations and tunnels, the volume will be unstable.

As for internal antenna such as those by bosch, it's ok but compared to external antenna, which one do you think is better?

And if you have certain solar film, it might not work that well too.

That was taken way back on 15-Jan-06 by the group of photographers from SGcarmart's car makeover team. At that time, I was just a regular driver only wink.gif

Yishun Ave 7? You were there yesterday afternoon?

My antenna is those manual telescopic one but I have since changed it to a windscreen antenna. It is more convenient too as you don't have to extend it out manually. But apart from aesthethics and convenience, expect some drop in quality in reception at underground carparks and in the CTE tunnel.

Yes, I've tried both. The internal Bosch & external telescopic type.

Nothing beats the external telescopic antenna.

If your radio reception is bad, have it checked by C & C. Some connection must b loose. If u get crackling noise, check your spark plugs & cables. Might be loose or damaged.

Grounding helps as I found out. I think Pioneer makes pretty good receivers but the other brands r ok too.

I think some connections r loose for your radio to give problems. SG is so small, most places give pretty good reception except the underground carparks.
