Zrun Neutral Newbie November 15, 2006 Share November 15, 2006 (edited) Only the front is externally adjustable for my car's application. Rear requires compression. The set is about 750 SGD. Is it worth it to buy this vs TEIN coilovers cost about $1500 SGD and are externally adjustable. I'm pairing Koni's with Eibach sportline (lower by 2") Edited November 15, 2006 by Zrun ↡ Advertisement
Elfenstar 3rd Gear November 20, 2006 Share November 20, 2006 the koni yellows have much better valving that the run of the mill teins. They're actually equal to the top of the range teins. I would definately go for the konis and eibachs over the teins any day unless you plan on adjusting the damping rates all around on a weekly basis. The damping on my cuscos were only adjusted once, and that was when the 180 went for a full suspension alignment.. same thing when i swapped the cuscos for a nice set of zeals! Elfenstar 3rd Gear November 25, 2006 Share November 25, 2006 ooh... hard one if you're comparing just shocks on their own. i would say bilstein... but not by much. I suspect that with the eibachs on it might go the other way coz koni owns eibach (or the other way around... not too sure on it). I might go speak to my suspension guy to see what he says but he's a 1.5hr drive away so only if i have some time.
Pdesign1 Neutral Newbie November 29, 2006 Share November 29, 2006 I have just changed my shocks to Koni yellows and have retained the use of my stock springs as I do not want the car to get lower. The car seems to have a floaty feel now and seems to squat to rear quite abit when braking. Is this because my springs are a tad too soft (3 year old) already? Or should I adjust the shocks to harder setting? I installed them as they are out of the box. Thanks
Elfenstar 3rd Gear November 30, 2006 Share November 30, 2006 I'm guessing its just that your damper and rebound rates are not matched to your spring compression rates. ↡ Advertisement
