The 1.6 FWD (2WD) version CM is bringing in, is severely underpowered ... according to reviews done in Europe.

The UK market gets standard 2.0L 143 BHP 4WD. That IMHO, is a minimum to be considered adequate for an SUV this size.

A FWD 1.6 so-called SUV, to me, is a poseur. It does nothing that a normal hatchback car cannot do. Besides its higher c.g. and rollover tendencies will really be minuses, without the 4WD and LSD.

i don't think 1.6 is underpowered. the car is only slightly bigger/heavier than the swift(maybe underpowered to them because they tested the 2.0 version, which of course would feel a lot more powerful). 1600cc should be sufficient. and if u have seen the car, it looks more like a hatchback than an SUV.

i've attached a picture of the sedan version.

yup. Suzuki/Fiat calls it a "mini-SUV crossover". this car is developed by Suzuki and Fiat. Suzuki calls it the "SX4" while fiat rebaged it as "Sedici".

Design was handled by Giorgetto Giugiaro's Italdesign studio.

The SX4 is actually the successor of the Suzuki Liana. However, sales of the Liana would continue till 2007 before it is completely gone and officially takes on the title "Predecessor to the SX4".

Neutral Newbie

It does look like the SX4 now looks more muscular/sporty and have a balanced look as compared to the Liana. Liana always seems to have a big backside. That's my POV.

Overall, hopefully the quality for the interior have improved over the Liana.
