Is this what is used for chipping up to ECU1 for Superbs?

Hi check out this site is this where they purchase the software and also cables to chip up to ECU 1? http://ucables.com/ref/KWP2000

 

Looks like some people do it themselves, so what is the difference between a Revo chip up? Just a branding?

 

Anyways looks like it supports a wide variety of cars that are supported.

unless using ME7x ECU. Dun think the tour or Octy2 uses this ECU.

My opinion only.

 

What you are buying when you use Revo, GIAC, MTM, Oettinger, ABT, BSR(list goes on), instead of a DIY, is the assurance from a proven and tested settings (mappings). You also get the feel safe assurance that many cars here and overseas have used the flash settings with no impact.

 

There is also may be some chance of recourse with the parent company and the workshop that flashed you ride if you by murphy's law have problems.

 

That was my thought process when considering and finally chose.

I saw on VAGSG once, this tool being sold. It was very attractively priced. More than half market prices(if I remember correctly).

It is not that Octy is not supported, it is the engine that is not supported. 1.8T Octy can use these tools.
