As I have mentioned, we are getting lowly-specificed A5 Octavia aka Octavia II in Singapore. There is no auto aircon, no factory fitted leather. Price is close to $70k (best to consult CA on this).

Recollection of the review which I have written. The pictures will give you a good indication of the specification.

for the Octy II DELUXE it is $69,900

Deluxe comes with NO auto aircon, NO factory fitted leather, NO audio controls on steering, NO rear aircon, NO rear sunshade, NO bonnet insulation, NO fog lights, NO auto folding mirror, etc.

but comes with the barebone 1.6 MPI (not FSI hor), 6 speed tiptronic, rims and local fitted leather, probably not from T*m* .....

oh, i guess it'll come with and iPod .... whoooppeeee ! [:p]

I wonder how C.A. is going to survive in the long term.

Could there be some internal politics?

Look at how C&C revived the KIA brand - this marque is selling like hot cakes now!

Let's take a look at the bigger picture. CA is under Group Exklusiv, which owns the newly-established Geely Holdings too. Its next darling could very well be the very auspicious-sounding car .

I have a few colleagues from PRC. According to them, even after discounting the taxes levied and COE component, distributors of Chinese cars are receiving respectable profit margins. Coupled with the low cost and low pricing of these cars, there is a higher probability to generate greater sales volume, compared to Skoda.

This is definitely a lucrative trade.
