not sure if this is under ICE... related.

just got myself a 2nd hand 956 and added the ipod adaptor.

been facing this problem with my ipod... the HU only reads 96 songs out of my hundreds and these 96 songs appear under "Disk 1". I can't seem to find any other "disc" in the ipod. The funny thing is that these 96 songs have never been preselected by me to be in any playlist before... how did these songs get "selected"? confused.gif

I'm now thinking it could be due to the ipod as I think when i hook up my ipod with my home stereo using the DLO Homedock, the same 96 songs are the default playlist... need to go back and check.

On the home stereo, i can at least navigate with the ipod. But with the ipod adaptor, i can only do so on the 956... i'm stuck with that 96 songs!!??

Any expert views on this? Is this an (known?) iPod problem?

i don't own any of those devices so i can't help, just suggesting alternatives assuming generic MP3 formats would be easier to integrate than apple's [:p] but if i had to buy one it would not be apple [:p]

i'm using Apple's LossLess... maybe that's why confused.gif

Anyway, did a search... i'm supposed to create playlist based on clarion's own name (clarion1, clarion2, etc.)... piangz...

but still doesn't exprain why those 96 songs in particular... confused.gif

Does the 96 songs get grouped into a playlist? Is that the first playlist?

It is normal for iPod adapter to support via playlist approach, these are the "old" interface. The newer ones like those in Pioneer, Alpine, etc will allow you to interact with it via their touch screen panels.

nope... I definitely didn't group those 96 songs... i have a whole bunch of Alanis, some Emi Fujita under the 96...laugh.gif too weird a combi to put in 1 playlist.

Basically I only have a Favourite playlist.. the rest are default ipod (90's music, Recently added, etc.)

Just realised also about the Clarion ipod adaptor... darned... should have read about it first...

sorry bro, all these new fangled gadgets are beyond me [:p][laugh] worse case if you can't solve that is to get a belkin fm transmitter & chuck the clarion adaptor, but then everything will be controlled from your ipod....
