Mit Lancer or Toyota Vios

M thinking of getting a budget car like Vios. It selling at ard 47k for auto. Is it worth buying a thai made car? Any Facelifted version coming?

 

Would Honda Jazz which is selling ard 53k be a better choice? Heard Honda Jazz is also thai made. Anyone here knows?

If you want honda from japan i think honda fit is the parallel import version of jazz. anyway a lot cars are coming from thailand now including camry and accord. guess it's a stigma that will be eliminated soon. having said that there would still be pple who don't mind paying more to just get it from japan.

Not sure if you have already gotten your car but this is my opinion. check your priorities. if you have no need for space then don't consider it as a pt of consideration and look at FC; if looks is impt then go for the one that catches your eyes etc... whether company bankrupt / resale good think these no need to consider since you are not buying the company shares...

 

i'm driving a lancer. so far i'm very happy with it. low FC but stable drive. great boot space for stroller for my kids and good width at rear for car seats. if you don't need these things then look out for other strengths when you view the car - vios or lancer

Jazz is not thai made although the jazz in thailand is thai made and only for their local market

Jazz should be still MIJ. Do u like the drive, design, space(boot and cabin), price etc? If yes, go for it. IMHO, Vios is a good budget sedan car. There is also other models/makes, do scout around.

Jazz is made in japan although made in thailand jazz are only sold in thailand.

I drive a lancer too.....the pick-up speed is a bit of the slow side. Unless u really step on it. With a reasonably controlled right foot....i got 13km/ltr....even for a auto car.
