Cbx750p 1st Gear October 22, 2006 Share October 22, 2006 (edited) If Cadillac is gonna South Africa ( RHD market ), would there be a possibility of it ever returning to Singapore ??? It made a disappearing act back in 2003. There are probably some Cadillac Seville left on our roads. Can imagine these newer Cadillac models here....would generate new interest now that they have more practical engines & more models to choose from. http://www.worldcarfans.com/news.cfm/newsi...-africa-in-2007 Edited October 22, 2006 by Cbx750p ↡ Advertisement

Cbx750p 1st Gear October 22, 2006 Author Share October 22, 2006 Doubt it. Said on that posting that only the CTS, BLS and the SUV would be introduced into the SA market. Did not mention anything else.
Nine_eleven 2nd Gear October 22, 2006 Share October 22, 2006 anyway, even if they did bring it in... the road tax would kill the owner before anything else...

Lalaisgongon Clutched May 1, 2010 Share May 1, 2010 (edited) if got CTS-V or DTS, will be good competition to bmw 3/a4/c class and 7/a8/ s class. hope this paves the way for other american auto makers, ford ( tarus SHO), Lincoln ( any model) Edited May 1, 2010 by Lalaisgongon
Pogiko000 Neutral Newbie June 8, 2010 Share June 8, 2010 With great cars comes great taxes LOL.. Anyway, I don't think cadillac is only for US.. I can see elite people from different country having a luxury car as that.. But often these elite people are not oblige to pay rightful tax, not all though... This is an ugly fact concerning corruption... :( __________________ True Protein Discount Code portable spa
Cerano 1st Gear June 8, 2010 Share June 8, 2010 man i'd consider a CTS-V
Ferraricalifornia 1st Gear June 8, 2010 Share June 8, 2010 i've seen the Cadillac Escalade ESV in Cambodia Phnom Penh.... really ginormous car, however, tonnes of Toyota Land Cruisers there as well (the 4.6V8 version and Lexus LX570).... so the Cadillac there seems to be average sized.....

Element_drifter Neutral Newbie July 3, 2010 Share July 3, 2010 Wouldnt it be cool if the cadillac sports car the XLR made its way here? The road tax would kill but for those who can afford it, the looks would charm anyboy. Must say though, all american cars that make their way here would have killer taxes thanks to their huge V8 engines
Alheych 6th Gear July 3, 2010 Share July 3, 2010 it's big and expensive but GM build quality is dubious.
Element_drifter Neutral Newbie July 5, 2010 Share July 5, 2010 Totally agree with that bro, but then people dont buy cars like the CTS-V, mustang, camaro etc for the build quality. Its about the feel. I tried driving a mustang in the US, and even though the car was shoddily built, the feel of it was amazing, it felt as if u were back in the 70's with a big muscle car. Thats a feeling i'm willing to sacrifice build quality for. Go ever there and try it. Seriously it feels superb

Seriously it feels superb read that they are going to roll out the CTS and CTS-V coupe. it will have a lower roofline, be shorter and wider than the CTS saloon. saw the pics... very nice car and i bet the output will be similarly outstanding.
Ferraricalifornia 1st Gear July 7, 2010 Share July 7, 2010 i'm sorry, but Singapore don't offer and provide a road straight enough to unleash the full potential of a Muscle car, which is just to drive straight.... muscle cars are rubbish in corners....and anyways, they aren't designed or engineered to take corners.... more of cruising fast down the straight.... something which the road conditions of Singapore don't provide.... i do like the Escalade ESV though.... make it into a super luxury 7-seater with individual recliners and legrests with massage function, cooling seats, carpets, fridge, etc.... spec it with 22inch chrome wheels, just cruise around.... shiok! Alheych 6th Gear July 7, 2010 Share July 7, 2010 in singapore, you pay a heavy price for that feeling. which renders it impractical for most. ↡ Advertisement
