I have driven a rented punto and it was a pleasant drive...although I found it abit sluggish. The gearbox was a new experience for me...quite ok. And the exhaust sound when floored is really sporty. Tried a Bravo before as well. A class up for the rest I have tried

although I average about 8km/l. But good models both...

1. Price

I got mine 2nd hand at a good bargain. However, if asked to comment on brand new price, I honestly find it a bit on the high side, despite all the bells and whistles that comes with a GP.

 

2. Power

Power not a priority to me in cars so not much comment. But as far as local and NSH driving concerned, whenever I need to overtake, never experienced any underpower problems.

 

3. Consumption

This is one good thing about this conti. Depending on driving style, it ranges between 12.5 to 18.9 (this figure appeared on the dashboard indicator while on the NSH in the cool evening without aircon)

 

4. Workmanship/ reliability

Am driving a manual. So far do not have any major or even minor maintenance problems. But car is less than 3 years old so maybe over time will know more. The diagnostics display is very helpful. Reliability wise, I have yet to see parts failure, however, I got issue with one rear door handle (can open only by tilting handle at angle), which in my opinion is bad workmanship.

 

5. Car service by TT

believe it or not, despite being under warranty, not once have gone to TT for servicing or whatever. All done by 3rd parties. Not because of lack of confidence, but too inconvenient in the ubi area.

 

I have tested drive the car but find that it is underpower and handling not so good.

 

are u kidding? the handling is one of the best i've handled in a conti car, and coming from someone who always rent contis on frequent overseas travels.

Pt 4 happens on all 5dr grande punto. i think it's design problem. However wat has AD done nobody knows.

 

probably until now AD still maintaining "It's like that one" and done nothing else.

 

We need someone like Overboost to spy for us and update us wat has been done. Everyday listen to "it's like that one" also sianz.

jio DK many times to PG but he never accept my challenge leh. my punto so slow dunno wat he scare leh, his A168 so fast.

 

Last couple of sat nites went down to OG also neber see any A168. Maybe he only go on friday nites. this friday nite i go see see look look.

My GP has passed 1 yr. I received a inspection notification for Tuff Kote Dinol in order to maintain the warranty. Do any of you go for the inspection?

if the car rust anytime during it's 10 year on the road in spore , then it demonstrate that they still don't want to learn from past history .

 

Anyway , I doubt that will ever happen.
