Chrome moulding or triming for car side window

anyone can advise me where is the popular place to get chrome moulding set or triming for car side window. i am intending to chrome up my side window and the door handle for my new santa fe 2.7l but have not able to find one at mcwell or mancando. but i have seen on road a new santa fe doing up such chrome design...

I got mine from ebay...its still available. [;)]

Bro, so you fix it yourself?  Is it a thin film to paste over the existing one or you have to tear down the existing one and replace to a chrome type? thank you!

No its not thin flim, its actual chrome moulding and we just paste over using double sided tape which is provided.

Thank you Bro, is it tough to DIY such thing or you send to some workshop to do it? I m pretty bad in technical stuff.

Are you driving Santa Fe? If yes, just order the chrome covering for Santa Fe. All is made to exact shape and size, you just paste over it with the double sided tape provided,

No bro, mine is a 2005 Fortuner. Just renewed the COE and the window rubber trim rot under hot sun. So thinking of pasting the chrome over and change a set.

 

A workshop quoted me S$1970 for 4 windows rubber trim, i was like???? What $1970 for non mechanical part?? So i decided to hunt around for Chrome paste over.

Maybe you wanna google to see if any manufacturer have ready made chrome trimming for your model. It will be alot cheaper...

 Ya, i think that guy has no confidence of doing so quote me sky high price.

Anyway, i tried buying those chrome strip to DIY but it turn out terrible not unless you are someone who is has the feel for it.

 

Anyway, will be going Bangkok next month, not sure where i can find car accessories there?

Hi, you able to post a picture to show the parts you wanna paste over? Hard to imagine which rubber part needs almost $2k to replace.

The part which highlighted in red. Window chrome trim paste over, not visor bro.

Bro. Why not buy the window visor to stick over it? It's easier to get the correct model for your car online. The reason why the shop quoted high because they need to use a whole piece of sticker to cut out the necessary curve....but $1000+ still obscene price to quote. Crazy
