Component speakers, no amp?

I am running Hertz on my stock HU. Sounds better than stock speakers.

When i turn on "loudness", it sounds deeper, but realize many notes missing, as compared to without. And without loudness, need to crank up the volume like almost double, sounds harsher. Kinda like looking at those photos with a slight blur for a better effect, but lost of details. I am neither a photographer nor a sound expert, not sure why i used that comparison. LOL! Anyway, I guess you all will understand what I mean.

So my question is, is there a better way to set it up? Turn off loudness and add an amp? Change the HU and see how?

My suggestion is to get an amp or dac. it will unleash all the potential of the hertz speakers that you have. But you will need to sacrifice a bit of space for the amp lah.

Thanks. I recently changed my HU to Z9250BT, and the difference it makes is vast. Loudness off and I am getting the powerful notes like as if loudness was turn on in previous HU.

Because Z9250 have wider EQ compare to your stock head unit. that's why there is a difference in sound quality. If this set up is good enough, then you might wanna stick to this set up for the time being until you got sick of it and wanna upgrade.

My theory is to do a gradual upgrade from time to time, sometimes you upgrade everything one shot, you dunno what us lacking or what is not needed.

It depends on you yourself also lah. 🙂

The stock HU also have 13 band EQ. Probably just dont have enough juice to push those speakers? That's my guess.

At the moment, all is good, and next thing in will be an active sub. Was looking for Kicker 11HS8, but can't find. After active sub then look at amp, if needed. so far so good.

Now I am wondering, what is the best device to plug into the HDMI port. Since the HU already have everything useful. I can't think of anything to plug into HDMI port.

Component speakers and no amp.

I listen to this through my home theater system and not laptop speakers to hear the difference.

Anyone listened to esatto speakers?

Googled and can't find any info at all but so many positive reviews on sgcarmart.

Just looking for a good improvement over stock without amp.

Check the date of the review and who posted the review.

New member who join and posted on the same day and how many other products they reviewed.

Your head unit actually has a 4 channel amplifier. It's usually rated as 50 by 4 peak power and that's usually 18 to 22 real power.

So choose a high sensitivity speaker.

I posted a few vids on speakers with external amps.

The most important is to decide if you like a bright or warm sound.

:D

Yeah, its a given HU from car dealer. JVC brand. I guess the power rating is correct, 50w per channel.

i will prefer a natural and warm sound, definitely not bright. my only experience is home setup, i kinda like JBL sound. im scared of ear fatigue.

Music mainly for modern chinese songs, chinese rock, english older rock songs.

am considering Steg, focal currently. just front speakers as im the only person 90% of the time. budget $1k, + front and rear soundproofer 2layers. possible? hahah

just saw this post and am actually reading up on morel maximo and looks like the highs are smooth and not piercing.

will try to find a demo shop to listen to. and maybe the steg. this is too confusing, too many brands.. and sound preference is so subjective.

Morel is definitely warm and 1k including front door 2 layers is possible.

No need to sound proof the rear door if only running front speakers.

Hello, how about steg? I'm probably testing morel n steg.

Yeah, that's promo package for morel and steg comp n coax + pioneer sub below 1k. If that's the case I'll might as well do up front n rear.

But then will there be more power output if I just do just front speaker only? Since not adding amp, trying to get the most out of the HU power output.

Steg is a very good brand with really good products just like Morel but I have never heard the sound so I cannot say if its warm or bright.

Morel speakers are warm and if you like warmth then Morel speakers are known for this.

Are you trying these out at Xtremez_Audio?

They have a sound board so you can hear the difference.

Try both systems and only choose one when you are completely satisfied.
