Home audio concept in a car.

Mid range and tweeters are very directional while bass is non directional.

So subs can put anywhere but mid range and tweeter must be front left and front right just like home hifi.

MTX ImagePro 3-Way Speaker Systems are unlike any other car audio speaker system in the world. ImagePro removes all of the limitations to actually hearing your music in your car versus a traditional speaker mounting location, which is located next to your legs. MTX has designed the ImagePro speaker systems so that they are on the same level as your ears allowing you to hear those lost details and get the proper staging in your vehicle.

The IP463 a 6.5" component speaker pair with woofer, mid range, tweeter and crossover that can handle up to 120W RMS power. The rich, full sound of these gorgeous speakers is amazing.

I spend thousands of dollars to learn car audio and after spending thousands the lesson I learn is you don't have to spend thousands to get fantastic sound.

You can have a high end sound with a really low budget.

The first lesson I learn is putting speakers in the door is the dumbest idea ever.

Speaker designers that design speakers for doors don't have a clue about car audio.

When you go to an audiophile's house and listen to their ultra high end setup you always see the speakers in front, one on the left, one on the right, both at ear level.

I have never been to anyone's house and seen a speaker next to someone's left knee and the other speaker aiming at their right knee.

Why? Its the worse place to put a speaker.

So its very simple to get great sound you put speakers in front of you on the dash board facing out as close to people's head as possible.

haha my learning is there are simply too many factors to get that perfect setup. a lot of money gets spent this way. even listening in shops with demo, put in diff cars diff effect. like conti cars thicker glass, better insulation vs jap. the lexus owner will be raving about it while the Toyota owner will feel something not right haha. And sedan vs mpv big space gaps. in the end, keep upgrading and upgrading haha.

the other also is there will be brands that come and go. the old times DLS, CDT, rainbow were so exp. 6-7 yrs back, German maestro was so in. now hardly hear. doesn't mean its bad but that money could have gotten an established brand that you could have sold for some money when you want to upgrade.

last but not least, its also what car, what needs. when young, we want all bass, no thumping no count. now older, genre also change.

so now Im jus easy one standard step. whenever I get a car, I change the component and add 2 layer sp to the doors. if im happy with it I am done. 🙂

there are many funny brands now. Do a search on their HQ/address you get even funnier places [laugh]

Basically whatever the big shops are pushing --> supposed to be good. How dare someone disagree with EMMA/AMMA/ABBA/whatever winner or judge ?

At the end of the day, ownself happy tio ho
