Saaber Neutral Newbie April 3, 2003 Share April 3, 2003 sorry to barge in. But is there any website that give tyre review? Something like "Hardware Zone" giving reviews on computer product? www.tirerack.com ↡ Advertisement
Soya Supersonic April 4, 2003 Author Share April 4, 2003 "Option 1 for track and daily use." Was thinking of that as Option 3 but heard the Kumho is quite noisy and wet grip so-so only. May not suit me for daily use. But never know, may juz keep it on if i ever install it.
Soya Supersonic April 4, 2003 Author Share April 4, 2003 Alternatively, what abt the Falken RT215 instead of Kumho? Any idea how ex it is for 17"?

Saaber Neutral Newbie April 4, 2003 Share April 4, 2003 RT215 is..., the last time I check with Yap bro for my size 225/45 R17...it is only abt 2 hundred plus.......super grippy tyre....look more like semi-slick to me...
Soya Supersonic April 4, 2003 Author Share April 4, 2003 Ya, look quite similar to the original Azenis. $200+ quite ex. Looking for cheap-cheap no horse run alternatives.
Saaber Neutral Newbie April 4, 2003 Share April 4, 2003 KUMHO
Saaber Neutral Newbie April 4, 2003 Share April 4, 2003 Post: Ya, look quite similar to the original Azenis. $200+ quite ex. Looking for cheap-cheap no horse run alternatives. wet performance is vastly improved in RT215....
Soya Supersonic April 5, 2003 Author Share April 5, 2003 Juz wondering, when ppl say the 712 is noisy, how bad is it exactly? aeroplane humming sound? Alot of ppl oso say ST115 very noisy but found it tolerable.
Saaber Neutral Newbie April 5, 2003 Share April 5, 2003 a bit of aeroplane humming sound but after 6mths to 9mths later ....

Soya Supersonic April 5, 2003 Author Share April 5, 2003 When u picking up your VR? It comes wif 16" rims, rite? Any idea what tyres comes wif it?
GDIzen Neutral Newbie April 5, 2003 Share April 5, 2003 Not VR just basic with FOC bodykit, etc! I think the tyres are Bridgestones RE88 unless they differ from the test cars. I may stick to 15" for a while till they run out then get a complete new set of wheels and rims!
Soya Supersonic April 5, 2003 Author Share April 5, 2003 OIC...thot i saw C&C advertising saying got free VR bodykit, 16" rims, etc. Maybe i saw wrongly. Why dun u juz top up a bit and get C&C to upgrade the 15" for 16"? Super 7 did that, i think. The galant's wheel arches are HUGE...dunno if the 15" will look very under-tyred esp wif the bodykit on. GDIzen Neutral Newbie April 5, 2003 Share April 5, 2003 When was the ad? The VR version costs $90,988 as of 3rd wk of March with 16" rims but the Basic going for only $86,988 with no bodykit from C&C. Not even 2-DIN CD changer just single DIN CD changer! Now everything is up by $2K! I tried the VR with 16 inch rims at C&C and it seems the acceleration was not as good as the version with 15" rims. Either the VR bodykit was damn heavy or the 16" rims really made a difference! The dealer seems to offer more for your buck, IMHO!
Saaber Neutral Newbie April 5, 2003 Share April 5, 2003 Post: Are they any good? harden after 6 mths? Still good...but a bit noisy....but what the heck.....such a cheap ultra high performance tyre...save $$$$ more important in this bad economy climate... ↡ Advertisement
