Hi ppl! Thinking of getting a Suzuki Swift. Since the car is out for quite some time already, will like to enlist the help of the Swift drivers to advise on the performance (FC, stability, etc) of their Swifts. [gossip]

Thanks in advance. [;)]

fc run in approx 14

stability so so, stock 185/60/15 are terrible, change to 195/55/15 or 16 inchers

gearbox logic lousy, erratic hunting, cannot match a conti's

big security risk at rear number plate area unfixed since its initial launch, squat down and see why

There is this rattling sound from the doors. Its a very common problem. Go to the swift forum and u see many complains. CM cant seem to fix it.

Cabin is slghtly small...but I m fine w it. Boot aso small...but its a hatchback after all.

The sound system is really not bad for a stock set up. Car is relatively quiet too. FC is ard 12.5....but I am very heavy footed.

Reverse light is super duper dim...but can jus get some bulbs on ur own.

Overall I still love my swift....but yes...the rattling sound...is a big headache....I must fix it at all cost!

Tried my friend's swift. Handling is not too bad. IMO, seats are hard, rear seats are not comfy. for FC wise, I only got about 12KM/L the best.

Anyway tried the Swift sport today. I can safely say that this car looks "bigger" than the normal swift but power wise if drive normally, it is about the same as the normal swift. Take note, all these are just what I think.

If you do not need much boot space, the swift is not too bad for the price now.

Turbocharged

I own an AT Swift.

Performance: Dun expect catapulting acceleration, but normal driving and overtaking is okay. DOHC, 16v with VVT.

Stability: Even though it's GC is high, it's still quite stable, body handles the roll well compare to some models of the same class.

Transmission: I seriously recommend the MT, the AT is pretty retard and occasional shift to D3 is needed to push the potential of the engine. MT is pretty perky

FC: FC is average. I would say better than conti/korean cars but cannot beat the likes of VVTi or DSi. I'm getting around 13 to 13.5 for my AT.

Interior size: Plenty of headroom, but the rear lack the legroom. You need to push up the headrest and it will be quite comfortable. Boot is small but well balance with the rear seats compared to some other marques of the same class.

Comfort: very quiet and very conti. cabin is smooth and well insulated. So far after 1 year I do get occasional squeaks on humps but no continuously loud rattles that irritate me.

Well as some reported, they are having about 13 to 14KM/L so it might be just the way I drive. :)

For me, I had only tested with two full tanks of pertol on Caltex 95 and it might not be the best gauge.
