Gen2eric Neutral Newbie December 11, 2006 Share December 11, 2006 Hi, I just got my Mazda3 SP last week, why Mazda 3 dont need to be serviced at 1000KM, instead of 1k, the first service is 5K. I thought new car always sent back at 1K for service and inspection. How about you? Did you service your Mazda 3 at 1000KM. regards, eric

Stinkray Clutched December 11, 2006 Share December 11, 2006 Oh....I believed they hook up and run in the engine after assemble and already cleared the "tiny metal chips". Just like my Ford, also send in for service after 5k instead of usual 1K. check with agent to confirm.

Lingerbell Neutral Newbie December 11, 2006 Share December 11, 2006 Is not a magnetic thingy,it's got to do wif optimizing yr battery performance & is not a voltage stablizer.Have you heard about it?
Lingerbell Neutral Newbie December 11, 2006 Share December 11, 2006 You have to running in the car for 1oookm before you can actually feel the performance of the car.You may refer to yr manual booklet.
Law_ong Neutral Newbie December 11, 2006 Share December 11, 2006 running in for local term is similar to the earlier mentioned on running the engine to smoothen the parts and to flush out the bits and pcs of small metallic stuff.. for local running -in is more to allowing the ecu to gel the engine to petrol response and the other moving mechanical parts, ie the engine to driveshaft, gear boxes, etc... wat ur FC like?? it depends on the route, driving habits etc...cheekg got 14km/l for his last tank and is still running in... ↡ Advertisement
