if ur stock lancer boot is heavy,then u gotta remove your stock torsion bar if not when u release the cache beside your seat , the boot will sprung up with alot of force and its dangerous.i had mine removed as my current boot is only 2.4kg.

Does that means you have to hold up your boot whenever you need to take something out?

heh yup .i have to..cos i changed my torsion bar to the normal impreza torsion bar which is meant for naked boot..means no spoiler but still too strong.if i use back the original bar which is meant to take my sti wing ..i think the cf boot willfly away.

Hmm, I am currently spoilerless on my GDA, stock boot with WRX torsion bar, my boot flies open too, but usually when I pop the boot, the first 5% of the opening movement will be dead, but from then on the torsion bar takes over like a catapult. So usually I just rest my palm just below the S U B A R U emblems and let it glide smoothly up.

Just my 2 cents.

if its stock boot its still alrite.but my current cf boot is 2+kg only.that why i had the torsion bar removed.

Its $800 for the CF boot for group buy of at least 3 person.

It ex as he need to make a mold for it.

 

I personally went there myself to check out the shop. I think the quality quite good. Not cheap thou. It make CF boots, bonnets with original structure frame(and anything that can be taken out as quote by nohman)as well as CF lamination of interior & just about anything (laptop, biefcase).
