Seanboi 1st Gear September 17, 2006 Share September 17, 2006 EON how ex oso cheaper den Spore. For 80K i would sae let the agent service or those specialised in Proton cars. Speedworks shld be modding cars IMHO.
Kianbeng Clutched September 17, 2006 Share September 17, 2006 You regular in JB? Usually I see that those good workshops will have alot of cars. Those lousy ones....always empty one. Just like food stalls. Good + cheap = long queue. My workshop in JB (very far) is very good I feel. Only bad thing is that there's too many customers everytime. Its the most common car in malaysia and every mechanic knows how to fix it. Used to owned a proton wira and always went to a workshop near to carrefour because the price is cheap and skill is good
Kianbeng Clutched September 18, 2006 Share September 18, 2006 Ya no worries for Proton. Just check out a few workshops on the way to your carrefour. After a few trials with a few workshops, you'll find one that you like.

Bluecity Neutral Newbie September 19, 2006 Share September 19, 2006 not back lah. it's 1 of the nearest to the causeway. I used to have my car service by them. now new car under warranty, so didn't go in already. They are almost like a one stop shop... every thing also have. And almost all the specialist are inside there also. Tuning, change engine, modification, air con, etc... They do alot of SG cars, so as for price wise, they don't anyhow chop. I can't say that they are the cheapest amoung all, but at least to me.. their charges are quite reasonable. It's just that... some time got too much govt tax involvement which i don't like. another good thing is... they can accept credit card payment. Mattchlai Neutral Newbie October 3, 2006 Share October 3, 2006 basically all workshop in jb are capable of doing basic service for proton cars, but just beware that they axe u with a sum of service fee and using non-genuine parts like oil filter. if u wanna do a full service (including routine inspection of who car), please go for those proton authorised service centre. so far i know the nearest one is the one that next to crystal crown hotel, just behind a new car showroom. i don't know how much they charge for the labour, but it should be within the range of RM75-RM100. u can bring ur own oil too. new proton original oil filter should be around RM12. engine flushing should not be more than RM20. Modas88 Neutral Newbie July 20, 2007 Share July 20, 2007 Hi I recently had my aircon serviced at Century, dealt with Yiow. charged me $50 myr to clean & top up gas and convinced me to pay another $30 for them to add a silcone based additive. also pointed out the condenser was leaking & said they could replace it wif a brand new one for $260 MYR... also pionted out a leak in my brake line, & low brake fluid level. I paid $20 for a 750 ml bottle of Dot 4, & was informed that a new piping would cost $220myr brand new or $100myr for a recon. BTW I am driving a 93 Civic ESI. dont know if I got chopped?? any comments?

Modas88 Neutral Newbie July 25, 2007 Share July 25, 2007 well its a 15 y.o. car so its inevitable that these problems will crop up. every time ive been there, there are 3-4 spore cars being worked upon, so they must be doing something right.
