i opine that they were after the superb but have to settle for the OctII instead since its not available for months to come. further the customers must have been told that the new superbs will be going for >90K.

hi bro

You are right. I have downloaded the official Skoda Superb new 2006 August brochure, and frankly, I don't see much enhancements other than some cosmetic ones, to justify much more for it. There are quite a few after-market vendors that can do that, and don't cost that much either. We shall see what the local distributor will do when the simple facelift model reaches our shores.

hi bro

Jette 2006 occupies a unique segment, discounting the TDI since that certainly won't make it here, you have the 2.0T (newer than the 1.8T) and the 2.5, it would compete or at least overlap with say the Passat and the various Golfs. So from the local context, doubt the local dealer would import the Jetta, just imho la!

plus, customers must have been impressed with the 6 gears. i was impressed too. i was slightly impressed by the look too.

BUT the interior put me off. looked and felt cramp to me. to me, it looked like the avante but the avante's center console is much much better.

at 70K just for 6 gears?? how far or fast can we go in singapore? i already have problem feeling the power of the 1.8T given our road conditions.
