i've tried my frd's Gets 1.6M on a few occasions... value for money car if u dun mind 3-dr... pickup is good.. but no power for the gears. 2nd gear cant climb sm slopes... kinda crampy behind...it's ok if u hv small size passenger or none. IMO, new FL one nt as nice as the pre-FL ones. It's rounder... doesn't look as good after adding bodykit.

the above is juz my own opinion after driving said car for a few days...

Seems to me the clutch needs attention/replacement

I'm very new in cars.. thinkin of getting a car.. was considering getz until my friends say hyundai cars fuel consumption very high.. can give me some suggestion/advise on hyundai getz?

You got the point. You are right. Until I was surprised that my previous Hyundai Accent 1.5M performed 28.83km/L. Now I believe in and practice hypermiling

hi guys, need ur opinion on 2nd hand getz. $25800 for a 4.5yr old getz (1.6M, 3DR) worth to buy? comes with full bodykit n sport rims. Mileage is around 60kplus (not sure if tampered with). Main occupants will be me, my wife n dotter. nt sure if its gd enough for normal transportation in singapore. My concern is more on FC. Power is a bonus :)

Practice hypermiling?

Wah, I didnt know bodykit will reduce mileage. I tot it was suppose to increase aerodynamics thus imporve consumption? no? [shocked]

Btw does anyone has a good mechanic to recommend? Can pm me? I rather let the mechanic test drive the car n check for the worn out parts :D

A Merry Christmas to ALL!!!

All bodykits available commercially add weights to the car. Some also increase air ressistance around the car body. These are the two main reasons for bad FC after bodykit installation.

hmm...in that case possible to ask for discount from car dealer asking them to remove the bodykit?

Good idea, except some holes may be left behind. Better to ask for those without boby kits installed, if any.

don't be surprised with some of the Getz with low mileage, when I sold for my 5 yrs old getz, my mileage was only 44K............many of us in the old Getz forum travel frequently oversea for work, seldom drive..plus point...servicing and parts are really cheap, easy to maintain....

Looking to get a 3-Dr 1.6M as a OPC to zip around during the weekends.

There are not many around and one of them is the Getz. Planning to go for a test drive soon but first any feedback on it?

I test drove one years back and I find it pretty powerful for a small body. I pretty much like the look and handling but didn't buy cos of 'missing' 2 doors [laugh]

Hi guys! I'm currently intending to get a used Getz.

http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.ph...119&DL=1120

Wonder if it's worth buying and seriously needed some tips as this would be my first car ownership. Checking my insurance quote from a friend and will get the answer by next week. Any things I should take note of before calling the dealer for test drive?
